I have used five-ten freerider pros for many years (ride about 3k miles per year using flat pedals, and get about two years per pair). The last pair were too narrow, and I switched to these, which are more comfortable with the rubber holding up as well or better than the five-tens (about two months on them now). the only problem is the webbing on ‘the lace pouch’ has badly frayed on one shoe. I just burned down the frayed strands and hopefully this will solve the problem. Other than that, and the higher cost, I am very happy with them.
Terrible rubber. Went for two rides and returned them immediately. Buy 5.10 shoes if you ride flat pedals.
Ride well, but they're fairly narrow and the laces keep breaking
