- Adjustable cam locks secure the top hems above the calves, keeping them in place during long days on trail
- Lace hooks secure the gaiters under the laces of your boots to keep the bottoms in place while trekking through snow and mixed terrain
- Durable and replaceable polyurethane (PU) instep straps feature durable, offset double-stitched hook-and-loop closures with internal adjustment for a secure, customized fit

Great improvement over the original
I don’t know why outdoor research did not do this sooner. You have probably broken the metal buckle that goes on the bottom strap like I have on multiple pairs of these if you have been a serious mountaineer. This new version is a serious upgrade and I don’t know why they didn’t think of it sooner I’ve gone through a half dozen pairs of the old style and this is a much-needed improvement. Finally, some forward thinking in mountaineering footwear.
shoe size means nothing for sizing these
Like the bottom strap. Love the material and the color. I ordered the right size (based on shoe size) but the top is very baggy and the top strap is a pain in the ASH! and is hardly adjustable plus you have to feed the strapping through…PITA! I really expected better from OR!! Returning ASAP
