So these boots had a little bit of a ankle bit very first day after that they fit like a glove, they're lightweight , they almost got a tennis shoe feel , they do got great ankle support, I’ve had them soak in wet grass and my feet stayed dry but I’ve not stood in standing water. I did step on a small lag pointing straight up and it went right through the bottom of the boot with ease where the tip touched my heel when it bottomed out I guess just don’t run over a bed of nails.
these have a toe box different, then the 4 other pairs of bridgers I have. when trying them on at rei, I noticed the toe box on these had changed. normally a size 10 reg, fits so comfortably perfect. in this version, they were tight. I tried a 10.5 size that seemed to help some. wearing them at home, hoped they would easy up on a break in period, but so far now, they are nowhere as comfortably as the other versions. they are built very well, but I have not taken them on the mountain trails yet. Will update as I do.
