Women’s Medium/Narrow sizes are designed with an A–B width; that's the narrower last from Birkenstock, but is equivalent to a women’s regular width by industry standards.
Women’s Regular/Wide sizes are designed with a C–D width; that's the wider last from Birkenstock, and is equivalent to a women's wide width by industry standards.

Footbed is Painful for Wide Foot
Long time Birkenstock wearer, and these were the first pair that I have been disappointed with due to footbed structure. I purchased these to use on different terrains of everyday soccer mom life. The sole (underside) and straps are great, the footbed is made of a very hard plastic and has zero give if you have a wide foot. It rubs on the pinky and big toe joints with walking causing blisters and discomfort. I missed the window for return (purchased on Birkenstock website). I initially thought they needed to be broken in, but they are not the type of material that can be broken in, so my loss.
Run Wide
They are well made, look good but run wide. I had to tighten the strap closest to my toes to its last hole, otherwise I was walking out of them. I’ve worn them outside, so I’m not going to return them. But after wearing them awhile, i would not buy them again. If they came in narrow/medium width I think I would be happier
Not for my feet
For me there was a hard ridge along the footbed (under the front strap) which irritated my toe. I do have wider feet so it might not be a problem for someone with normal feet. I had to return them, but I like the way they look.
Great sport sandals!
I have always been a fan of the Birkies - the water ready sandals that are no longer available. When I saw these cousins to the Birkie..I quickly bought a pair. They do not disappoint. They are sturdy and comfortable.
