Great for staying cool on a hot summer day
Went backpacking in this in 70-80 degree and found it very comfortable. After a long day of hiking it dried out by the time dinner and camp were done. The only downside was that it didn’t keep the mosquitoes from biting through the material (not a design flaw).
Sun-shield hoodie
I wore it today for the first time and it did great. I have two REI branded ones that are SPF 50 and this one is SPF 25. I didn’t notice much difference. I’m using them to Nike in so I don’t have to wear sunscreen. Hood keeps my ears covered. Fabric is light and airy. It did its job even in today’s 20-30 mph headwinds.
Holding up nicely in the Florida heat
Wore it multiple times now, all involving water activities in the Florida heat (June). Had it out paddle boarding and now today offshore fishing for about 5 hours. Has small perforations that lets in the breeze but apparently not the sun. Quality seems to be there.
It Works!
Remained cool in full sun in med-70’s weather. Was not chilled during a 12 mph wind in the shade. I appreciated the thumb holes to keep the back of my hand out of the sun.
Great cooling hoodie!
I bought two hoodies. I am using them as a ride my road bike in the Las Vegas area. Yes, very hot times right now. They work great! No sun on my arms, neck and ears. I stay cooler, enjoying my rides.

Actually works!
Wore backpacking in the Rockies in August. Very surprised how well this ventilated heat from my body. I sweat very easily and profusely, so I’m a good lab rat for this hoodie. Actually felt like I wasn’t wearing a shirt at all even under hot, bright sunny hikes.
Also, works for me...
Very comfy, but I think that it runs a little large. I could have bought a size smaller.
