The BEST stainless steel water bottle out there!
The Bivo one is lightweight, easy to use and easy to clean, fits perfectly in my cage (without any rattle), and has the cleanest taste (no metallic or plastic flavors) just water! I love the ease of being able to grab and drink when on a ride but I also bring it everywhere else I go (work, yoga, hiking, etc) I have found the gravity flow nozzle really helps me drink more fluids throughout the whole day. The raw version is awesome but the silicone coating is rad if you want a fun splash of color and more grip! I will definitely be buying more of these for clean and fun hydration!
easy to clean!
I could go on about the fact that you're not absorbing PFAS, etc etc but honestly the best part is that the nozzle and straw pop off, so you can toss all the parts in the dishwasher separately after you've forgotten it with sports drink in it for days and it gets super clean. Plus unlike plastic bike bottles they don't melt and warp which always makes mine leak. Lazy and forgetful people like me can rejoice
The best!
Total game changer for people who spend a lot of time on their bike or who appreciate quality products! I love that I don’t have the plasticy taste anymore, the gross mold growing if I forget water in my bottle or if use sugary drink mixes. This bottle size fits the best in my mountain bike but I use the larger size (both the insulated and uninsulated version) on my road bike.
One heck of a bottle.
Any time I head out for a ride I have two bottles on my bike. One insulated Bivo and a Bivo One in my water bottle cages. I like having my insulated bottle keeping my drink icy cold for hot days or nice and warm for those cold days for later into the ride. But I start every ride drinking out of my Bivo One. The extra volume and same great flow rate keeps me hydrated for whatever adventure I have planned.
awesome simple water bottle
I’m not a cyclist, but ended up with this bottle because it’s surprisingly difficult to find simple, wide mouth, single wall bottles that aren’t enormous. It seems like a lot of thought went into the design of these! I appreciate how easy they are to clean - the spout is removable and actually wide enough to clean, and the inside of the lid doesn’t have any sharp edges that tear a sponge apart. Haven’t used the straw, but I love that it comes with a cleaning device for that. Hoping the lid without a spout comes back in stock soon so that it will be fully leak proof in a bag!
Get a dust cap!
This is a great product but PLEASE NOTE: It doesn't come with a dust cap which you definitely want. It only costs $5, but if you order it later you'll have to pay shipping.
Let it flloooww
No more having to squeeze. Gets water in your mouth not air.
Super bike bottle
These insulated bottles are awesome. Keeps drinks cold on 2 hr bike ride, no problem. What a great idea. I do a lot of triathlons and hot fuel on the bike is always an issue. These bottles really work well to keep fuel cold and the gravity pour helps me to drink the right amount with each sip.
Bivo bottles OK but two key improvements needed
I bought a color-coated and an uncoated bare steel Bivo bottle. I have ridden about 500 km with them, on shorter 40--80km rides in a pace group (brief swigs) and a solo 120km ride with a long climb (slower deep drinks). The bottles allows good liquid flow when upended to drink while biking. The color coated one is slightly difficult to pull out of my plastic bottle cage since the cage retainer "grabs" the coating/paint. However the coating provides a good tactile feel for keeping the bottle in hand. The uncoated bottle slides in/out of the cage smoothly, but is slightly difficult (yet enough to note) to grasp since it is s smooth. The bottles could be improved by adding concentric ribs (on the metal itself) especially near the top area where the bottle is grasped by fingers to extract it from the bottle cage. The coating ... is nice but needs to be somehow tactile to fingers/gloves yet slippery for the plastic (or metal) bottle cages. Steel is nice for keeping plastic smell/taste out of the drinking experience. These bottles do have plastic top caps, with plastic straw (for air exchange in a non-squeezable bottle) and mouthpiece. Probably necessary to have a plastic/soft/silicone mouthpiece to allow sealing and avoid breaking ones teeth, but maybe to top threaded cap (with a silicone seal?) and straw could be medal to further reduce plastic exposure. If you bike & need a new water bottle or to begin reducing plastic exposure ASAP, these bottles work ok, but have limitations as noted.
