You won’t regret it!

Absolutely love the new Garmin 1050! The large screen and easy-to-read text make it super user-friendly, even in bright light. Battery life is solid—even without battery saver mode, it lasts a long time. The digital bell is hands-down my favorite feature—makes me feel like a kid again every time I use it! Another big plus is how well it connects with Garmin Connect—you get daily training suggestions sent right to the device. You can even pair it with your Garmin watch for a fully connected training experience. If you’re thinking about upgrading, stop thinking and go for it. You won’t regret it!

Fantastic cycling computer, highly recommended!

Fantastic upgrade from Garmin 530. Much brighter screen, significantly bigger font for fields, true at-a-glance information. User interface is vastly improved and is much more intuitive to customize screens and functions. For training, the ability to scroll laps is a huge improvement and the display of lap information after saving a ride is AWESOME! Few purchases have made me smile so much!

Not worth it.

This made my rides less fun, it's just not enjoyable to use. The large screen is mostly wasted real estate due to the poorly designed UI and the navigation is archaic in its implementation. It gave me all kinds of issues. Thus, the only reasons to spend so much on this are ultimately very weak. On my first ride with it, about 2 hours in the unit totally rebooted. The screen looks fine, but inferior to the older tech in direct sun. The touch screen is snappy though, the unit much faster than any other product. I'm going to keep using my trust Wahoo Bolt V2 and pull out my phone when I get lost.

No, I do not recommend this product

By far the best Garmin Cycling product to date and the God Father of all cycling head units. By a long shot the best colored screen on the market.

Great display. But there are a software issues like random reboots mid ride, route navigation issues.

Amazing GPS

The colorful and clear directions is probably the best feature. I come from having an 830 which was awesome except that I would miss turns due to unclear some of the turns were displayed. This is so bright and vivid. Haven’t missed a turn yet. The bell feature which was supposed to be the cherry on top, since I live in a densely populated area, is very low. Being able to let people know the hazards on the road is a plus. I’ve used this extensively for potholes and flooding in my area. It’s much faster at loading maps than my previous 830. The credit card feature is not yet available with my bank, therefore I have not been able to take advantage of it yet.

Gorgeous screen and easy to read fields !!

I appreciate the bright and vivid colors, the display is sharp and easy to read. The power meter and sensors connected flawlessly. This is a huge step forward in the display quality. Really hard to find flaws. I can nitpick, it’s a little on the heavy side, but that doesn’t matter to me I’m not gonna win any tour stages anytime soon, also the 1050 is so new it’s hard to find tempered glass screen protectors that fit properly. The tempered glass have fits wonky, but I just wanna protect that beautiful screen.

Helpful new features!

I've used some of the new features already which are great. The bell is very loud and helpful when on a trail. The reason for the 4 star rating is because this unit is slightly longer than the 1030 Plus and I have an integrated out-front mount for my flat handlebars and this unit has a very tight squeeze to get on and has scratched the decal. Just keep the length in mind when purchasing. Other than that, it's a great computer and I'm looking forward to using more of these new features!

Impressive screen and performance.

Just got a bike and added this. Integrates with heart monitor, power meter, cadence, rear tail camera and radar and front light. Best feature may be controlling music. Takes a while to learn how to customize and use widgets but it’s coming. I’ve uploaded a few old courses I plan to follow. The Bell may be the only reason to buy. Way more features than I have tried but nice to see anything you want. Notifications are good too.
