I use it at Wildland fire camps. The fabric doesn’t make as much noise when you move around in it as traditional bags. You get used to slipping in and out from the top, but it is different than just unzipping and getting out. It’s very warm, but also convenient to have the vent at the foot to let you stick a leg or two out. I use it during the fall and early winter in the Tahoe Basin. It’s enough with some thermals to keep you warm even with some light snow on the ground. I especially love that I can curl in the bag and use it for comfort rather than stuffing a blanket in there with tea.
Finally a sleeping bag that doesn't cause me to wake up in a panic in the middle of the night. Perfect for people with claustrophobia!
Odd design - wasn’t a hit. Two issues: 1. the back shoulder area is uninsulated. Turn on your side and you back gets cold. Use the sleeping pad sleeve on a cold surface and the cold convects right into your back. 2. The bag is fully sewn together between your waist and feet, making temperature regulation impossible.
very comfortable and cosy. I slipped my sleep pad in the built in sleeve which kept my back in constant contact with the pad. the way I was nestled in the bag with its "hood" type top and overlapping side made it so comfy. I'm very happy with this purchase. Because there is no zipper you kind of have to slide in and out of the bag which was no problem, just different than the traditional sleeping bag.
