It's a nice roomy shell with a lining and a good zipper. Nice for everyday use in cool, wet weather. Sleeves are too long. I still have my jacket from the 1990s that this model is supposed to be based on, and it is made of a sturdier (and heavier) fabric and has two chest pockets (one inside and one outside) which I miss on this newer version.
This jacket did not disappoint! I’m 5’9 and 130 and needed something that fit a little looser than my old Mountain Hardwear gore tex jacket, so I went with a medium. I can wear this over my puffy jacket comfortably and water beads up and runs right off of it. I really like the hood as I wear glasses and it keeps water off of my face also.
1000% better than my Marmot and North Face similar jackets.
