Ladies with hips looking for shorts - these are it! I'm so happy to finally have found shorts that fit a curvy figure well. I'm typically an 8-10 in shorts/pants to fit my hips, but the waist is huge on me in those sizes. Then sizes that fit my waist (4-6) pull too much at the hips. So many hiking shorts seem to be designed for straighter figures (looking at you, Patagonia baggies...) but these Prana shorts work great for my curvy hips. I bought a 10 for a slightly looser look, though the 8 also felt good when I tried them on in the store. The waist in a 10 is a smidge big, but a belt fixes that right up. I also love the 5" inseam. I bought all 3 colors and would buy more colors if Prana made them!

I guess I’m in the group that loves these shorts. 🤣 For reference, I’m 5’3” and struggle to find shorts that fit waist and bottom snug, not tight. 26” waist, 39” hip. I got a 4 (usually 4-6 curvy fit jeans) and it’s fits perfectly after using the internal drawstring. I didn’t try 2 (bought online) but the fabric is so stretchy I could see that size being comfortable for me as well.

I have such a hard time with Prana sizing. I am realistically a 4-6 in most brands, and I got these shorts in a 2, and they are still saggy. I have 2 other pairs of size 2 Prana shorts which fit well (can’t remember what the name is, but very similar). I also have several other short and skorts which are xs and fit well. These fit relatively well around the waist (there’s a drawstring inside, though I’m not sure why it’s needed, and seems like it would make the waist bunch if it were used). The butt of these fit terribly. I have a fairly round butt, and these hang like I have a very wet diaper on. It’s weird. I also find the material to feel scratchy.

I love these. I own too many colors and wear them several days per week. The rise is comfortable (not oddly low or high, keeps things in check), they dont tend to ride up, and they look flattering. Outdoors, they dry quickly and are flexible enough for scampering comfortably. Larger than average pockets without getting into cargo territory.

These are the best shorts for any activity! They are flattering and perfect length. I have two colors.

I always wear a size 4 length 5 in all prana shorts. I am 5'6 138 and have been wearing prana shorts for years for hiking and everything else. I bought 3 pairs of these shorts and am sending them all back-tomorrow. They are too tight, ride up and why they put a non stretchy waist band on stretch zion halle short is beyond me. MAJOR DESGN FLAW!! disliked the fit, feel of the fabric, everything and decided not to order a larger size. Very disappointed in this product. Why would you ruin such a good thing. You did the same thing with the Halle pants that I have in every color and have worn for years. UGH sometimes you should leave good things alone- why ruin a good product!

These shorts are exactly what I was looking for. Comfortable, cute, and breathable for active days. It's a good length, not too short, not too long. I am usually a 6 but following the sizing guide I initially got an 8. This was too big so I exchanged it for a 6. So it runs true to size but the sizing guide was inaccurate. It's too bad it's being discontinued but nice getting a deal on it.

I ordered my usual size (4) and they fit perfectly. I got the light blue color which is really nice. I will definitely buy another pair in another color.

Love these mid-rise shorts. I am hippy, and these shorts have room for me ;-)
