Most Sustainable Camera Backpack in 2023
It is not only a high quality camera backpack, but it is also a functional daily carrier and travel bag. Because of the high quality recycled materials and modular design it gives me the peace of mind knowing that it is a circular and ethical product. With its unique packing system the Travel Backpack is especially useful when it comes to storing my camera gear while I utilise the bag for other purposes, like traveling or hiking. Highly recommend it to digital nomads who are looking for a multi purpose backpack that will last forever.
Best Backpack Ever!
Return to Office when one has moved to the country had created a whole new problem set for me. How to carry around luggage for a 2 night stay every week. At first I used my draggable wheelie bag - after a few weeks of clipped ankles and much frustration at navigating pedestrian curbs, and the noise of dragging it around, I gave up. Luckily someone recommended Peak Design and I won't look back. First and foremost, I am 170cm female, and the 45L is SUPER comfortable. The Peak people have clearly put the user first when designing this. It has all the zips and access to compartments you need. It has straps EVERYWHERE so whatever position it's in, it can be picked up. It also stands upright so no dramas when on the tube or train worrying whether if you let go, will it fall on someone. It's got heaps of compartments - perfect for gym gear. I love the small zip pouch on the outside - easy to access headphones, keys etc. It also looks great. If it came in leopard print I'd give it 6 stars ;-)
Holds shape, fits as a personal item or carry-on
I bought this a couple months ago for my trip through Central America and a few sailing adventures I had planned. I am six weeks in and it has held up perfectly. The only complaint I have is the main divider layer just got in the way, so I unzipped it and kept it rolled up the entire time. It would be nice if Peak Design could make it detachable? I use the little pockets to stash little things like money, chapstick, keys, phone, passport etc. and they are very secure and out of sight. It holds my rain jacket, computer, chargers, umbrella, drone bag, the Peak Design toiletry bag, medium size compression PD bag which holds my 10 shirts, 4 shorts and 1 pair of pants. It also holds the small PD compression bag with 8 pairs of undies and 7 pairs of socks. These could probably hold more clothes inside them honestly. It rained so much in Central America, however the material held up and everything remained dry inside. It does weigh more than hiking-specific bags and the shoulder straps don't have any elastic cushion/shock absorption, so they aren't the most comfortable. It does get quite hot in the sun, but other than that it has served me quite well. I never had to use the expansion zippers. If I were back-packing in nature, carrying gear such as a tent, hiking/climbing gear etc, I would go with a more light weight pack. Since I stayed in hotels and hostels and sailboats, it was perfect for my situation. I plan to keep using this for the next few months while I continue traveling to different countries. 10/10 would recommend for regular travel, business travel and to school/work!!! The last picture with the blue neck pillow attached was when I first packed it before leaving my house. The rest were taken yesterday at the airport.
Best bag I've ever owned!!!
Best bag ever! I'm constantly moving from one house to another. I live at both houses plus I film for my YouTube channel so i needed a bag that would cover multiple situations. This bag along with a few other accessories like the packing cubes allow me to pack everything i need all neat and tidy. This bags expanding design allows me to fit as much or as little as i need. I love that this bag looks deceptively small in comparison to how much it actually can fit and it can fit a surprising amount in it. Its side zippers as well handles on all four sides plus the back make this one of the most versatile bags you can buy. I like to pack the main compartment so that I can still access stuff from the side zips such as a hand sanitizer for when its needed. The bags also built like a tank just take one look at it and you'd know it was built to last. My only complaint would be that it's not the most comfortable and that 's also a common complaint by the way but I don't think it's that bad. If you're looking for a bag that is extremely versatile, holds a ton and is build to last than this is it. :)
45L Travel Backpack for 2 Week Trip to Mexico
I did my research on several backpacks before ultimately buying this one. It’s kind of hard to compare when you are watching videos of the backpacks, instead of having them physically with you. With that in mind, I want to say that I picked this one based on the look, but mostly on the fact that it can expand from 35L-45L. I traveled on several flights in Mexico with the backpack fully expanded to 45L and had no issue taking it as a carry on. The material and durability was great. One of the best features I liked was the anti pick pocketing details the backpack comes with. I didn’t take my laptop, and instead used the laptop sleeve to put a big envelope with all my important travel documents. Overall I this this backpack was worth it. Great quality, looks good, and worked for me. The capacity was more than enough for me. As a reference this is all I was able to fit in my bag for my trip. For info I used the roll method to pack my clothing which helped fit more items. 2 Pairs of Jeans 2 Pairs of chinos 7 XXL Shirts 1 Long Sleeve 2 Sweats 1 Pair of Shoes 1 Pair of Sandals 1 Light Sweater 6 pair of socks 6 pairs of underwear 3 Undershirts 1 Baseball Hat 2 Shorts 1 Light Rain Jacket Peak Design Small Wash Pouch 6 100ml bottles Cellphone charger Cellphone battery pack A small Book Hope this review helps. Happy travels!
Great Large Everyday Bag
I have been using my Peak Design bag almost every day for my daily commute to school, carrying my A7III with a 24-70mm, a 70-200mm, and a 16" Macbook Pro. While it seems like a normal bag, the inside is full of features that really make it a great functional bag. The camera cube integration, as well as all the organizers, make sure all of my stuff is safe and sound. The clamshell opening makes everything easy to pack and organize but you still use it as a normal top-entry bag as well. The straps are thick and comfy and the hardware everywhere is super nice. On top of all that, I ride a motorcycle every day and find it very comfy on rides from 10 minutes to 3 hours. The fabric is easily cleanable and everything has held up great so far. If you are hesitant about this bag, I would highly recommend it.
Almost Perfect
I travel extensively for work, and the flexibility of this bag is what makes it for me. Having the option of a large, open bag for packing cubes often means no in-built organization, but this bag still gives you quite a few smaller, zippered compartments. The quality is standard Peak Design, which is to say flawless. No loose stitches, flimsy materials, or sloppy craftsmanship to be found. My only complaint is the shoulder straps could be a bit thicker and wider. Fully loaded it's not quite as comfortable as my similarly sized Lowepro 45l. I know there are definitely engineering tradeoffs with how smartly engineered the strap stow system is, but for longer walks it gets a bit uncomfortable.
Best product
I bought this backpack a while ago and the truth is that I am very happy. The quality is excellent, you can barely feel it when you touch it. It is very comfortable to carry it on your back and with all the pockets. It is very wide. I use it on each of my trips.
No two trips are the same, but the bag is the same.
I did a lot of work before buying a camera bag,and the Travel Bag is exactly suit mu needs. It is a multi-tasks bag, I can use it for business travel, outdoor photography or badminton. For a trip it just like a Pelican but more convenient.
The perfect travel bag
I'm very happy to buy this bag. I'm going to travel and purchase to Japan with my back. I believe it can hold a lot of gifts.
