Good improvement over older model!
I bought this chair and compared it with the older model of the REI kids' camp chair that was just discontinued. Everything is exactly the same except for the button to collapse the chair. This newer version is so much easier than the old one! You just push the red button in and push the legs together to close. The older one requires you to pull the red knob and make sure you're pushing the legs together so that the knob doesn't go back into the hole. Just a bit more coordination involved than this new one. Other things I like about this chair are the reinforced mesh cup holder so that it doesn't easily tear and how comfortable it is, even for adults. I also like how I don't need to stuff this chair into a bag to keep it together.
