Accurate & Dependable

Accurate and not a problem keeping charged for the 8-10 hours per week I use it. MUCH better than the Polar H10's (yes, multiple) that I've used over the years which had real problems with battery life. So bad that I used to check the batteries with a multi-meter before every use and if voltage dropped below ~2.9V I would use another battery. Was replacing batteries week because if I did not, the HR would lock onto a HR and sit there whether I was doing intervals or whatever. This Wahoo unit also snaps onto the Polar HR straps so keep those if you're switching!

Stops working after a month

I just returned my second Trackr to REI... I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but had the same problems with the second one that I did with the first. It works fine for about a month, but after the first re-charge of the battery it starts to get flakey and unreliable and then just stops waking up no matter what you do. I followed all the trouble shooting instructions, numerous times. It still charges, and sometimes it connects to my devices (including the wahoo app itself), and sometimes it doesn't. Even when it seems to be connected to my Garmin, it does not send HR data. Incredibly frustrating. I work out every day and I need a reliable device - not one that I have to trouble shoot every morning. I wish I could still get the non-rechargeable version - my last Wahoo lasted years until it gave up the ghost. This new rechargeable line needs to get the bugs worked out.

Improvement from older versions - USB charge great

Great HR strap. I also bought the arm monitor and returned that. I have used this about 12 hours and still has over 80% charge. The strap is a bit small and I could only find another on Wahoo site as I wash after each use. The strap sits under the monitor, which is an improvement from previous versions as I had a couple corrode. Also, the charging is much better than previous circular batteries.

Needs improvement

It’s great once you can get it to connect but with no buttons it’s super frustrating getting it turned on. You need to be able to connect it to a charger to wake it up which isn’t always practical if you’re outdoors. I don’t understand how hard it is to add 1 button.

Overpriced and Under Equipped

I have a love/hate relationship with Wahoo heart rate monitors. The old Tickr units were just okay. My two gripes about the quality of how they were built. The snaps broke too frequently and the strap fit slipped over time. I'd gone through three of these units in under five years. I've had the new Trackr unit for a few days and have not been impressed. First, the unit is crazily expensive. It seems to be double the price of what I remember paying for the old Tickr units. The device is rechargeable, but the charging cable is a proprietary configuration for the Trackr end and a USB-C at the charging end. I don't have a charging unit that accepts a USB-C cable and had to buy an adapter. The new chest strap is similar to the Garmin HR monitor straps. The Trackr unit snaps onto a pad instead of using the snaps of the Tickr unit to close the chest strap. The new chest strap fastens on the side using the same type of hook design as the Garmin HR monitor. The only reason I bought this unit is that it is the easiest to integrate into my Zwift setup, which is all connected via Bluetooth. When riding on the road, I use a Garmin setup and have had no issues in more than 15 years of riding. If you have the choice, I recommend using a Garmin or other manufacturer's heart rate monitor.
