Best option for routinely transporting 4 MTBs
Positives: - Easy to load & unload - Sturdy. This thing is a tank - Virtually impossible for bikes to fall off - Zero contact with bike frames - More ground clearance than 4-bike tray racks - Compatible with kids bike wheels (Shown with accessory) Negatives: - Tilting downward when unloaded requires a surprising amount of force - Does not offer much security for the bikes or the rack itself - Difficult to store in the garage My wife and I wanted a 4-bike rack that does not require wheels to be removed, and would not sacrifice ground clearance (steep driveway entry). We were torn between the Thule Revert and Velocirax 412. Thule's never let us down before so we went with the Revert despite being a brand new product. No regrets, we love it.
Like the vertical design
We’ve used this twice now for our MTBs. Works really well. Like the lift assist. Wish the integrated lock was keyed the same as the hitch lock.
Exceded my expectations
This was the first Thule product I purchased. After researching most, if not all, vertical bike racks, this one seemed to have the most features, and looks the cleanest. Setup was easy. The ReVert doesn't rattle or sway thanks to the integrated hitch lock. Loading the bikes is very easy since you can (just about) roll the bikes into position. The hydraulic arm effortlessly raises the bikes, and dampens them coming down when tilting the rack down.
Great for Multiple Bikes
We have enjoyed the bike rack. It doesn’t protrude too far behind the car when not in use, and keeps the bikes high off the ground and inside the envelop of our car. There is plenty of space to open the trunk when the rack is pivoted away from the car. It is a bit difficult to lower the rack when empty, but so easy when between 2 and 4 bikes are loaded. Very quick and efficient to use and we love the integrated locking system.
Mind blown
Fits 4 different bikes with no problems. I out a small xc bike, gravel bike, DH bike and another hard tail bike on there and it was perfect. Can raise and lower with very little effort. Coming in at 70# i believe it certainly is easier to maneuver. Very happy with the purchase/. Tool less hitch receiver works great with included key. Is there anything they didn't think of with this rack? Honestly amazing rack.
Back door does'nt open and adaptor problem
I bought this to have the incredible engineer of thule but with a vertical rack. Instead I have a rack that does'nt bend backwards enought for the back door to open on my dodge grand caravan. My friend has a honda odyssey and has the same problem. The special adaptors for 20 inches bike don't work either the rack simply does'nt work for my 20 inches bike with or without the adaptor. It rubs on the paint.
Perfect for our family
Accommodates our two ebikes and two regular bikes. Very stable and strong. Easy to load and unload bikes. Easy to lean back to open car back door. Easy to detach and attach from car by myself but it is heavy, 90 lbs? (I'm a middle aged male weekend warrior). I can carry the rack balanced on my shoulders and waddle over to our side of the house for storage when not in use.
So easy to use
Loving this rack! I have the 6 bike and it has never been easier to move that many bikes around. I have had a few other vertical bike racks and this is the only one I actually feel confident putting my Yeti on. Zero frame contact and the wheels all get tied down with straps. Also, the front wheel doesn't spin on long road trips.
Best rack for families
Love this rack for getting bikes to and from the trailhead. Love that it takes up less space behind my car than a 2+2 horizontal rack would. Solid build and very little movement even fully loaded with e-bikes Only con is its heavy and can be a little awkward moving it around the garage.
Pretty much perfect
Absolutely great bike rack, super stable, easy to load, looks good. My only complaint would be how stiff the shock absorber is. Unloaded I have to pull with everything I’ve got just to get it to tilt down. Other than that it’s amazing!!
