Tear

Tear in the bottom where the poles attach. I'm sure one rain and it will leak.

Good tent for whole family but could be great with improveme

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not many options on market for a large tent to hold entire family of 5 or 6. Very easy to setup - even solo. I was worried that the rain fly only covers the upper portion of the tent but used it in a major downpour with heavy winds and had zero water/condensation. However it was summer and i think in fall or cooler temps condensation would definitely form inside without a non-touch duel layered rain fly. The major thing to consider with this tent is it is designed for warm weather camping. Most of the top of the tent is ventilated mesh with no way of closing. One night it went into low 50s with high wind and i was really glad we all had mummy bags rated for 20 deg. Can feel a lot of wind penetration.

Great tent!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The tent is great! It goes up easily, and is a great size. The material seems to be of good quality and fits a family of five plus a dog in well. The only negative things I would mention state are that the zips are quite loud to open/close, and that the pockets for storing phones etc. has been set on the inside of the door, which is not particularly helpful if you are opening / closing the door. We are overall very happy with our purchase. The front "porch" area is a fantastic size and perfect for storing things that you'd like under cover but not necessarily in the tent.

Best 8P tent you can buy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First night took heavy rain and 30mph winds with no problems. Everything is high quality in the build design. My only concern is the floor material feels very thin, the footprint is a must.

Bad quality

We had a north face mountain Manor tent that we used for 10 years. No issue. I don't know what happened or what changes Northface has made to their tent construction but we had this tent for a month and it developed a tear in the fabric on the front of the tent. My son woke up with 20 mosquito bites on his face. Northface says it's not covered by warranty. Do not buy this tent save your money and buy a tent that will last more than one month. Even Coleman tents are more durable than this.

Great car camping tent for a large group

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Simple set up, solidly made, and lots of room. A perfect warm season, car camping tent. Really appreciate that the design is less of a dome than most and has excellent headroom across most of the footprint. The North Face always incorporates the little touches that make everything "feel" right. DAC poles, color coded pole sleeves and anchor points, quality zippers, and heavier weight material for the floor section. Lots of attention to detail, even in this none technical tent. Well done.

Best 8 Person Tent On The Market

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really like this tent. We are a family of 5 and it is the perfect size for us. Decent ventilation, a great vestibule, and I love the 3 doors. My only knock is that we tore out one of the loops that hold the room divider the first weekend. I have 3 young kids so it could have been us but I would have hoped it made it further than one weekend. We've owned other competitive entries in the market (BA, Marmott) and this one outshines the others. All-in-all I would highly recommend this tent.

Bad Quality Material, No Help Provided

We decided to invest in a high quality tent with a trusted brand. We followed all directions given in use and care of the tent. However the second time we used it a bird dropping fell on the mesh while setting up the tent. We immediately wiped it off and cleaned it with soapy water. Through the evening we noticed a hole develop in the mesh. We rinsed the area again and kept an eye on it. The hole continued to grow as well as more develop around it. We rinsed again but even the most gentle touch made it worse. We submitted a claim and North Face says it's not covered under warranty and refused to help any further stating it was not a manufacture defect. They offered to let me pay them to fix it, but they cannot give me a quote until I send the entire tent in for them to evaluate. Save your time and money, clearly the materials don't live up to the price.

I would highly recommend this quality product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a fantastic tent! Used it with a family of 5 and we had plenty of room for everyone and gear. The quality of the equipment was far and away better than any tent than I have camped in. From the sturdiness of the poles to the quality of the floor and seams, I was thoroughly impressed. On our recent trip, a storm blew through overnight, and the tent didn't budge at all! It was rock solid and we are excited for our next trip.

I'd sell my home and live in this 24/7

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Man, if this thing could be heated up or cooled down depending on the weather, I'd sell my home and stay in this forever. If me and my wife get in a little argument, I could throw up the divider to go in a separate room or she could just kick me outside and I'll stay nice and dry in the vestibule area. This tent is awesome, very well made compared to my old Coleman, I could see this lasting my lifetime.
