ASICS  GEL-Cumulus 27 Road-Running Shoes - Men's

I’ve run in ASICS’s for decades and without a doubt this shoe represents the worst craftsmanship and quality of any ASIC’s I’ve ever purchased or used. With less than 200 miles (all tread) and no washing, the shoes (both) are already breaking down. I have kept at least a dozen pair of ASIC’s shoes I’ve used for outdoor running shoes that i have held on to over the years that have significantly more miles and have held up better than these. ASIC’s should be paying me to run in these: I highly recommend something other than these shoes if you want to come anywhere near covering what you spent for them.

Bought this end of April and the shoe has worn out. I understand there is wear and tear but for 5 months for about 6-7 miles a week. Definitey not ideal.

What can I say, that has not already been said? Started wearing ASICS Gel-Cumulus 20 nine years ago. Knew on that day that I had found my running shoe for life. Since then, they keep improving an already near-perfect product. Mile after mile of spongy, marshmallow-y comfort. Support where you need it, cushion aplenty where you want it. ABSOLUTELY no issues in the heel box, not too wide in the toe box. Just keep in mind that all this lovin ain't for free: ASICS are not a durable, long-term shoe. Two hundred miles, and you're back at the website for another pair. That's the only negative you'll ever find with any of their shoes.

Excellent shoe! Hits all check boxes except the color. The colors shown online are extremely misleading. The actual color of the shoe in person is very different and less pleasing. This applies to all the colors. I got the brown/fawn shoe and the white there was Snow White and not the creamy/beige tone as shown online. Get extremely dirty and makes the shoe looks very ugly. Make sure to check your colors in person before buying.

Used Hoka Clifton 9's for a while until they wore out right around 400 miles. I went to my local 1st Place Running store and they recommend I try these. Not the biggest fan of Asics, but after getting my foot scanned this shoe was the #1 match. So I decided to give them a shot and I am happy with them after my first run. I went to run 3 miles, but after those were done I just continued until I hit a 10k since I had to go into work (or I really would have just kept going then too lol). So far, first impressions are high! Would recommend if you are looking for a daily running shoe!

The ASICS Gel Cumulus 27 is one of my favorite all time daily trainers. Super lightweight for a daily trainer, incredibly smooth, great fitting upper. The only thing missing is durability. While I appreciate how light it is, the outsole wears down so quickly, especially on the outer heel. Wears down as fast as a pencil eraser. I have to buy three pairs to rotate to make them last longer. I’m hopeful that Asics will put a small strip of durable carbon rubber on the lateral heel to prevent the quick breakdown of the outsole. Otherwise it’s my choice for shoe of the year!

I like having a supportive shoe with good cushion for general walking and daily use. I had been happy with the Kayano's for years, but found more recent models had the pronation correction be a bit too much as they wore down...I really need a neutral shoe. I tried a couple of Trabuco's last year and they were good, but less cushiony. So, I went with the Cumulus this time and they are very good so far...maybe even more cushioiny than the Kayanos. I will get another pair and see how these wear over the next year.

I bought the bright all yellow gel cumulus 27. They are fabulous! My feet (I am a male) are 11" long and a bit wide. I bought size 13, and 13 is perfect. These shoes don't come in wide, but that's fine. There's plenty of room in the toe box for feet which are wide. Extremely comfortable and lightweight! As a light and bright color, dirt easily shows. I have been wearing Gel Cumulus for many years now (starting with GC 19) as my general running shoes for training and many long distance (i.e. ultra) races. However, recent editions have a sole that only provides grip on paved and/or dry surfaces. When used in wet conditions on grass, mud, leaves etc. they slide like you're running on ice. I am now looking for a new model with a sole that has more grip without being a full-blown trail running shoe.

My 2 pair of Gel-Cumulus 24's while still in pretty good shape were relegated to lawn mowing and garden work. I really didn't think Asics could improve the GC 24's but with the 27's they did just that. I typically walk around 5 miles a day as well as working out at the gym. The fit is spot on and while the term is often used, the 27's are like walking on clouds! Very comfortable, light weight and form fitting. I ended up buying 2 more pairs!
