I ordered the Women's 39.5 which corresponds to US 8 according to size chart. For me, these shoes run 1/2 size small. So, for my normal size 8 running shoe, I would've needed size 40 which would correspond to 8.5 US. I've been extremely pleased with the comfort of La Sportiva boots and wanted to give these trail shoes a try. Toe box was roomy but didn't seem sloppy (but please note I did not run in these shoes). Design and upper materials all seemed good--may give these another look in the right size.
These are cushioned and responsive. Initially I thought they would not be very different than the Speedgoats, however they are. The Prodigious Pro give a lot for energy return and stability. I did get the half size up as recommended which fit perfect. Also loving the sock heel.
Super comfortable and durable shoe. Phenomenal feel underfoot on all types of terrain. Ample forefoot width, sticky rubber and burly outsole and upper materials. Sock gaiter to keep out pebbles and debris, works great. Surprisingly stable shoe for the amount of cushion. Highly recommend for trail and xc mountain travel - for more techy terrain I bias towards the Levante for better ground feel! Very surprised how stable this shoe is on steep chunky talus and off camber terrain for the amount of cushion the shoe offers. I typically size my shoe up a full size from my measured foot size, however I only sized up a half size since this one fits a touch bigger than the Levante (measured foot size is at 39.5, wear 40.5 in the Levante, wear 40.0 for the ProPro) - I size my shoes up for ample space in the toe box since I bias towards steep mountain vert for a bulk of my outings and like to not have bruised toenails. 100% recommend this shoe to add to the shoe quiver!
Tested this puppy for over a year. True to size, feels like a stable, cushioned road shoe with all the goodness of an actual trail shoe. Great traction on snow, ice, rock and mud. Love the sock collar; great for racing. The foam is high peformance, def no need for a carbon plate. For trails, it's all about the foam!
I bought this about 2 months ago and it has become my favorite shoe for running. The best shoe for me. I suffer from plantar fasciitis and since using this shoe and my stretching it has helped tremendously. My heel doesn’t hurt
I was not familiar with your game, La Sportiva! At the Cirque Series in Killington, VT, I won a free pair of La Sportiva shoes of my choice. Honestly, I didn’t know much about the brand other than its strong reputation in Europe. I wanted to try them on before ordering, but they were completely sold out everywhere in NYC (which I figured was either a really good or really bad sign) so I just took a shot. Right out of the box, the first thing I noticed was how insanely lightweight they are. The upper has a nice balance: stretchy enough to move with your foot, but snug enough to feel secure. Plus, the knit design looks sleek and modern. I first tested them on a short 4 mile run in Connecticut. The foam felt responsive and bouncy, yet stable on the downhills, that’s when my sister said I was flying. The real test came during a 25K in the Catskills, NY, and that’s where the shoes truly shined. They handled a variety of terrain with ease, offering plenty of stability while staying light, springy, and fast. It’s an incredibly runnable shoe. For sizing, I went up half a size, as I usually do with trail shoes.
Love this shoe! Really comfortable and lightweight option for short or long runs.
