Great mitten held back by some quality control issues.
Would love to give them 5 stars as I believe they are an awesome mitten. However, the plastic piece that holds on to the shock cord broke on the first day of using them. I ended up just tying the shock cord together and it works just fine albeit a bit ugly. The actual mitten however is great! kept my hands warm all day on the hill and never let water or snow in. Like I said, would love to give it 5 stars and recommend to people, but with the plastic piece breaking on the first day I can't.
Warm!!
I was looking for a new pair of gloves/mittens to go skiing. These are my first pair of mittens, and they work great! I love that they can stay attached to your wrist and are also easy to put on over your ski jacket. They are also warm.
Great Mitts!
My only complaint with these mitts is they could be a little more durable. I primarily use them for snow removal work, which I'm sure is harder on them than skiing and snowboarding would be. That said, I really like these mitts- they stay super dry, they're very warm, and light weight. I love the pocket that you can throw a handwarmer in on very cold days- My hands have been comfortable in -20 degrees Fahrenheit in these babies with a handwarmer. I now have multiple pairs to share with snow removal crew if needed and for myself.
I miss the two piece gloves
I had similar gloves that I lost. I forget the name but they were 2 piece: fleece inner glove with a gortex outer shell. I'm so sad I lost them because I had to replace them with these. These are nice, warm gloves but I miss having the option of an insulated glove or just a shell over my hand. These have some features the others didn't like a zippered pocket for a hand warmer (but I still haven't figured our why anyone would want the handwarmer on the back of their hand?)
OR mitts
Have worn these resort skiing multiple times and they are great. No issue with temp down to 10° even without hand warmers in the pockets. One of the clips on a drawstring popped off, but I was able to tie the strings as a fix - worked perfectly. Cell phone usage is difficult as they are mittens, but I felt more able to use my fingers than with most brands I've tried. Great purchase and the soft material for a nose wipe is an amazing touch!

The gloves really keep my hands dry and warm even on those extra wet days. They're very convenient to put on and take off and I really value that as a ski instructor who has to take off their gloves multiple times during the day. I like that they go over the jacket a little bit to make sure that everything stays warm and dry. Until now I never had to use the heater pockets but I think they might be helpful on those colder days.

Best mittens out there!
Every single aspect of these mittens was well thought out and well designed. They've kept my hands warm on frigid Midwest ski days and are still comfortable on warmer days out west. I love the wrist straps, the zippered pockets on the back, and the ability to cinch down the wrist. Whether you're a newbie or a veteran, you should give these a try. Thanks for making a great product, OR! I only wish I had purchased them sooner.

Warmest Hands
Great for keeping the hands protected from the wind and snow. Walking around in high desert with temperatures hovering in the single digits my hands were protected from the wind. When our family went sledding in the mountains my hands were the warmest they have ever been. I typically have a hard time keeping my hands warm and dry but these mittens have definitely proven their value. Great product by Outdoor Research.

Great gloves
Keeps me warm when im snowboarding in 5 degree weather. The wrist staps are useful for when i need to check my phone or anything else. The gore-tex is lasting and the gloves have lasted longer than my previous pair. I also really love the handwarmer pockets because i go up in very low temperatures. You can make a good snowman i think lol. I sized up so i could fit liners if neccary, so i recommend that for sure.

Good Mittens
Wore these mittens for a week long ski/board trip the Breck in mid-February. These gloves did a great job in the mid-20's, however, in the low-teens my fingers definitely got on the cold side which I think they would with most mittens. I tried both glove liners and some re-chargeable hand warmers which both brought my finger temperature back to tolerable.
