runs small
Love the material and the robin brown color. The s/m was too small and I had to exchange it for a larger size. My head measures 22 in. S/M size according to the size chart online.
(Almost) Gone with the wind
Patagonia cheaped out with the clasp on this hiking hat. I wore it at Yosemite and almost lost my hat at the top of two trail with moderate wind. The wind force loosened the chin strap until the hat blew off my head. My family member wore a Cotopaxi hat and had no issues with keeping that hat in place. It was just regular wind not a storm or anything crazy. Disappointed in Patagonia for ruining an otherwise decent and good looking hat I plan to return it.
Works well, but handle with care
It’s a good hat that stayed on my head when tightened and provided good sun protection! Do not dry, it shrunk and is unwearable. Also, Robin Brown looks real wet when it gets sweaty or dirty
