Built to last, but has some odd features
This is a thick, nubby (and thus slightly scratchy) sweater that reminds me of the rag wool sweaters that used to be popular in the 80s. It's 80% lambswool, which suggests softness and drape, but it's definitely on the stiff side. The knit design and colors are very flattering. In the photo, the model is wearing the collar up, but I didn't like this at all -- it hit right at the intersection of my jaw and throat. However, I was able to bend the collar down so it laid flat, and this was much more comfortable. I wish it was about two inches longer, because it seems like a sweater that's trying to be warm as a hug should also be a little longer. If I could give this 3.5 stars, I would, but I'm splitting the difference and going with 4, only because the knit pattern is nice and I think I'll have this sweater for a long time. Definitely not fast fashion. But could have used a few design tweaks.
Way too big in the back!
This sweater was way too wide across the back. According to the size chart, I am an XS, but for someone whose upper body measurements are that size, the width of the sweater was 3 & 1/2 inches too wide. It fit great everywhere else (arms and torso were the perfect length and the shoulders were just right), but it was so wide across the back that the fabric puckered significantly just behind my arms, which was uncomfortable and looked ill-fitted.
warm comfortable cute quality sweater
I bought the blue zip sweater in XS. It has become one of my go to winter sweaters. It has a nice flattering cut, thick warm wool blend. Looks great with jeans. I like the zip neckline - I can tuck a small scarf inside or wear it unzipped and open on warmer days.
Thick good quality sweater
I love this sweater, it fits me just right and keeps me very warm. It also has a lovely thickness to it.
