Fox Racing Shox Transfer Neo Dropper Post
Go big on the descent. The Fox Racing Shox Transfer Neo dropper post has a low stack height, an ergonomic lever and a wireless design powered by Neo—the fastest wireless protocol in cycling.
- Provides up to 200 mm of drop
- Neo has all the nonessential functions of its wireless protocol stripped away in favor of speed; over 100x faster than Bluetooth and 20x faster than the closest competitor
- 26 milliseconds from lever press to post movement
- To eliminate tire clearance issues on certain frames, the battery and wireless controller are placed at the bottom of the exposed post, just above the seatpost clamp
- This position—combined with taller stack height—means your saddle height sits 40 mm higher than the dropper post when fully compressed
- Ergonomic lever has a rubber-coated thumb pad that mimics the texture and distance from the handlebar of a regular Transfer lever but with a shorter throw
- Bike Park Mode temporarily disables the dropper lever, preventing accidental seat post extension when riding downhill trails
- This mode can be quickly deactivated by rapidly pressing the lever 4 times or via the intuitive app
- Transport Mode is designed to conserve battery power while your bike is in transit (e.g. long car rides)
- When Transport Mode is activated, it will power off automatically with its "Shake to Wake" functionality disabled
- Pressure-adjustable using Schrader valve at the post head
- 34.9-optimized—upper and lower post sections are specific to 34.9 for improved aesthetics and reduced insertion length
- Fox-specific battery with compatibility for future Neo products (not included)

Pretty wild this post is like 4x the price of a regular dropper. That being said, it was worth the purchase. Installation was so easy. And it’s integrated into my brake bar mount flawlessly. I was so fired up to ditch another internally routed cable. The lack of cables and the extra kashima on my bike is awesome. The post functions flawlessly so far. I keep it charged so I haven’t pushed the battery life yet. Keep a few spare 2032 batteries in the kit bag. Huge shoutout to REI for the deal, the easy checkout, and fast shipping.
Pricey but Excellent
Previously, I had no interest in wireless dropper posts, thinking they were too expensive to justify what seem to be minor benefits. However, I'm developing arthritis in my left thumb, and the mechanical dropper remotes definitely aggravate the associated pain. Therefore, when I heard that wireless remotes require less force to activate, I decided to give one a try. Even still, I only sprung for one when REI was having a 20% off member discount and I had ca. $100 in dividends. Apart from the cost, the post is great. Installation is easy, and activation definitely requires less force and distance. The battery also seems to last a reasonable amount of time (80% charge after three rides). So far, I would say it's the best dropper I've owned (out of more than 1/2 dozen), though it probably isn't worth the price unless you either 1) can get it on a discount, 2) are not concerned about cost, or 3) have arthritis in your thumb.
