[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since the first day, i noticed bad stitches, loses feathers in every point, not a lot but you can see them coming out, LOWER qualify compared to the hoodies of previous years, besides this is good.
Long-time LL Bean wearer here. I recently went to my local North Face store to try on the Thermoball hoodie as I was searching for new winter coat. The helpful associate helped me determine that it wasn't quite warm enough for what I needed in Boston winters, and suggested the Summit Series, which was not available in the store. Based on the Thermoball sizing, I ordered a medium online. I'm 5'6", 150-155 pounds, and the small Thermoball was a little too small, so I went with a medium. As of this writing, I have worn my new Summit Series coat about three times, and it has already developed a hole in it, with lots of down coming out. I know that down comes out, but this is an actual hole. To clarify, my three times of wearing have been just going in and out of the house. Nothing physical; no hiking, climbing, or skiing. To say that I am disappointed would be an understatement. I spent nearly $500 on this jacket and it has a hole in it after three wears! Sadly, I will be returning it. My LL Bean 850 down that I wanted to replace, has been worn for nearly 10 years and still looks new. Not a scratch (or hole) on it. And, it costs half the price of the Briethorn! I'm heartbroken because I even ordered additional TNF apparel to compliment it just this morning, and now I'm not even sure I want it. Bummer. I had high hopes for this one.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this jacket one month ago. Used it twice in two commercial flights. After that, I discovered a 2 cm (0.8 inches) tear in the fabric of the right sleeve. If this happens with normal use of the jacket (I didn't do anything special that could have caused such damage), imagine what would happen in an extreme context. Really frustrating for a jacket so expensive. I was a fan of TNW, but this is the last product I buy from them.
I bought this for my Kilimanjaro expedition and it did not disappoint. In addition to being extremely lightweight, this jacket was so warm. I even had to take it off during some of the steeper portions of the summit push. During our time on the summit this jacket kept me very comfortable as we rotated taking pictures around the sign. I definitely recommend getting this hoodie.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The North Face Breithorn Jacket impresses with its sleek design and robust performance. The waterproof and breathable materials keep you comfortable in various weather conditions, while the well-placed ventilation ensures you stay cool during intense activities. The jacket's durable construction and thoughtful features, such as adjustable cuffs and a helmet-compatible hood, make it a reliable choice for outdoor enthusiasts. While it comes with a higher price tag, the Breithorn's quality and versatility justify the investment, making it a solid addition to any adventurer's gear collection.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The summit series is an excellent piece of apparel. It's light weight and keeps the warmth to your body. I would recommend this product to anyone. And for the Northface fans who may not have experience the summit series apparel, I highly recommend you try this product. Bruce Black
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this jacket as a birthday gift. Today was the second day it was worn and I noticed the feathers coming out. Not happy with it at all. I would have thought it was of better quality. I purchase quite a bit of your products and normally are very happy with them...
The NF logo sits too far to the right, plus the cuts of the cloth differ from last years. The shoulder "stripes"go straight to the north face logo one, last years model had one more horizontal bit before the logo. Colour is nice but go back to last years construction.
I have worn the jacket 3-5 times and after the first use I've noticed a serious issue with the down coming out of the jacket. I wear it as intended and have a shell for it but I think it was like this from the day it left the factory.
