Great poles for backpacking!

Used these all season for hiking and backpacking in the Wallowa mountain range and around Mt Rainier. They are easy to adjust and the handles were very comfortable. I had my hands on the top of the pole for downhill (palm on top), and around the handle using the wrist strap for support for uphill. Over the days and miles I used them I never got blisters on my hands. I use the soft tips covers to leave no trace where I go as well. At first they would fall down when I put weight on them but once you learn how to tighten the adjusters they stayed in place just fine so make sure you practice before heading out on the trails! I used these on steep trails, in rocks, in sand and in pine needles. They performed great in all terrains.

broke first use

Excited to take these on their first, short, 3 mile hike, to see how they felt and “break ‘em in” and one pole broke on me mid-hike. A tiny piece of plastic keeping the top and bottom parts of the pole together broke rendering it useless. Will be returning for a different product.

Great!

This is my first pair of hiking poles. I’ve taken them out a few times now, and they’re great. They’re not too heavy, so I attach them to my backpack when I’m not ascending or descending. They easily extend out, and there’s a dial, so you can tighten as well. It comes with tip protectors and normal baskets. I’ll have to get some winter baskets for next winter. I got the REI rubber tips, and they fit fine.
