I was in need of a mountaineering snowshoe asap. Found this one on sale 2 years ago. This is my second winter with them and I am just frustrated with the back binding. On the steeps, my boot slides backwards and the back bindings don't stay in the channel that they are set in. They pull right out and the Boa cables don't hold enough to keep my boot in place. The shoes just fall off. I've tried tighting the Boa to keep the binding in place and all it does is crush the top of my foot and the binding still pulls out of it's placement. I believe this is a bad design flaw. I highly recommend Tubbs, just not this particular setup.
Purchased these for my wife as a Christmas present and she's very happy with them. The quick-release/attach harness is great.
