Failed in less than 5 years!
Icebreaker is not standing behind their product. I bought this hoodie in April of 2020 and in 5 years, the sleeves have frayed and I now have a hole in the arm. I reached out to Icebreaker to tell them of the failure of the item; their response was kind but dismissive. To say I was EPICALLY disappointed is an understatement. This was my favorite piece and I wore it often & in all seasons. I have no issue spending top $$ for something if I am going to get that in return - this item, for the money, is not worth it. I have other wool pieces from other manufactures that are still going after 30+ years & appreciate the quality of a good merino wool piece. To spend this kind of money on a piece that does stand the test of time is not an investment I am willing to make. Icebreaker needs to do better and should be ashamed of themselves.
Well made and great tempurature regulation
My wife has worn this for casual wear for the last 6 months. She has been comfortable in both cool and warm conditions, inside and outside. It has worked very well for travel. The warmth/weight ratio is excellent, as expected for merino wool. The hoodie looks nice as well. Moreover, it is well made. Some merino products I've purchased end up twisting after washing, even if I use cold gentle cycles and dry flat. None of that with this Icebreaker hoodie. Multiple washes and it looks great, no twisting or seams coming apart. My wife has not yet used this for any active outdoor adventures, but I would not hesitate to take this out for cool weather activities. It seems best for a temperature ranging from 50-65 deg F with a light shirt. It would work for temperatures in the 30s and 40s with a long-sleeve medium weight shirt.
I bought this hoodie again and again and again
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the third long sleeve icebreaker hoodie that I've purchased over the years. I've literally worn them until the holes couldn't be repaired anymore. This is one of my favorite pieces of clothing that I take everywhere.
My wife says she will live in this.

Great jacket, versatile uses

One in every color
I got the new blue color, I have it also in the grey and black and will continue to purchase new colors. This is a comfortable jacket and fits perfect.
