I bought the Osprey Daylite Carry-On Travel Pack 44 for a week-long trip to Mexico. The pack is sturdy, with plenty of pockets and space for clothes and souvenirs. It fit easily in United Airlines' overhead bins but won't fit under the seat. Keep in mind, the pack doesn't come with a hip belt.
Just received mine and am excited to use it in December to go to Europe. Dimensions match airline requirements and looks like it will fit well with lots of adjustment points. Wouldn't have found the hip belt if I hadn't known to look for it. Clever tuck hides it and the shoulder straps away when not in use. Love the laptop sleeve, side pockets and external zipper pockets. Also would fit over the handle of my roller bag.
I took the Daylite 44 on an 11-day trip to Italy and couldn’t be happier with how it performed. I packed about six days’ worth of clothes, plus shoes and other essentials, and still had room to spare. It handled everything I needed without feeling overstuffed. The pocket layout is excellent—Osprey really nailed the organization. The top pocket was perfect for quick-access items like my passport and sunglasses, while the main compartment opened wide for easy packing. I especially appreciated the internal mesh pockets for keeping smaller items contained and easy to find. It fits in overhead compartments with no problem and carries comfortably, even when full. The build quality feels solid, and the design is subtle and practical—ideal for travel days and urban wandering alike. Highly recommend this pack if you’re looking to travel light without sacrificing functionality.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Superlative Carry-on bag.
I have used this in travel to England, Spain, Slovakia and Iceland as well as US domestically. It has always been allowed as a carry-on. It's a super comfortable pack. Love that it's just one big compartment (with a laptop sleeve) for optimum space for packing.
This carry-on has a lot of room in the inside. I like how it unzips like a suitcase and the “tighting” straps keep everything from shifting. I liked carrying it as a backpack, the straps are wide and comfortable. It’s very well made.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the bag for sure and will surely be able to use it for my travel around the country. The 2 things I am not impressed with is the side handle and the connection across the chest as it is to easy to loosen. I would rather have a very nice side handle closer to the center of the bag than the second water bottle pouch. Being able to carry the bag from the side handle is important to me and this handles is on the edge making it not carry correctly and is a wimpy handle making feel incapable and uncomfortable. Aside from these two failings I like the bag overall and believe it would do the job.
Great little pack that holds a surprising amount of clothes and other stuff. Went away with it pretty full and bought 5 shirts while away and I got everything in for the return trip. Good size for plane and comfortable on your back.
Absolutely love my bag, perfect carry on bag and managed to get everything i needed into it for a weeks walking holiday. Definitely no complaints 👌
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Glad for the much needed upgrade in adding a hip belt and compression straps in the top and bottom half of the pack
