Precise and terrifically grippy on rock approaches
Light weight great for approach and class IV climbing. These shoes out of the box climbed 3,000 feet of very vertical feet on Picacho Peak in Arizona and 5,000 feet in Grand canyon. And then flashed up Cathedral Rock on Sedona,AZ. Excellent grip soles. Slightly flat footed sole for everyday walking. Really precise feel for those who enjoy flashing across rock. Even if you do 12 plus miles of tough terrain.
Perfect approach shoe.
Love this shoe. Sturdy, not flimsy. Great grip. Fits me like a shoe should. I would say it runs a half size small.
Great approach shoe for narrower feet
Flexible, narrow fit but molds to feet well and quickly. Sticky on technical rocks, but not a lot of traction on mud/loamy soil. Great for day hikes and scrambling.
Shoes worthy of buying again, sticky soles
I'll buy a second pair to put in storage. Comfortable, tho I know insoles in new shoes help them get out the door, but wear thin soon. I replace the insoles with aftermarket insoles ( about $25 or so ) that usually outlast the shoes.
the Crux of it!
Second pair - great shoe. I wear them for light hiking, walking, yard work, mucking about, travel, long road-trips, even casual meals out. Some of the best all-around gear I’ve ever owned. They do start a little tight in the toe-box… but will loosen up a bit with some break-in and are otherwise pretty true to size. Though, if you are like me and tend to fall between sizes with different brands, def round-up with Scarpas.
Not really hiking or trail shoes
These aren’t really over the hill and through the woods type shoes or for long approach's but great for easier routes and paths. Another note rei must have a back log of tried on and returned I tried twice keeping the second pair.
Amazing shoes that are comfortable and high qualit
These are the best shoes that I have every purchased. They are super comfortable and don't require it that I buy aftermarket insoles like most shoes require. They are extremely high quality and support my feet extremely well.
The shoes failed
Bought the shoes for one purpose and they failed miserably. Had to turn back halfway up the Half Dome cable route because the shoes provided no traction on the granite.
Grippy and comfortable
I bought these for a hike that required a lot of scrambling in wet conditions and they performed very well. Very comfortable and grippy. Would buy again
Great Shoe
These are fantastic shoes. I bought them for a casual shoe. The soles are stiff and supportive and the shoe is very comfortable. I now wear them at work.
