Very comfortable, lightweight, wool boxer briefs that I can wear year round except on those very, very hot days in the summer. They don't get damp like cotton briefs so they're more comfortable on extended hikes and other recreational activities. On extremely hot days I'll go back to wearing cotton, but never synthetics. I usually like to go up a size or two for a looser, more comfortable fit rather than having them skin tight as shown in the pictures. They don't hold odors and can be worn for a few days before changing. I'll hand wash these and let them air dry. Over time they will eventually develop some small holes from wear.
I liked them for a bit. But very quickly they stretched, thinned to the point of being as see through as women’s stockings, then started getting runs like stockings. If you buy, just know you’ll get less than six months of good use before they’re garbage. Happen to every pair I bought.
I’ve had these for a few months now and have used for all forms of activity - hiking, biking, skiing, officing, walking, running. They’ve been comfortable for any use and don’t see to overheat. Haven’t had any issues with rolling and fit is great.
I buy this product over and over, performs great, comfortable, odor resistant, easy to launder And a great travel item!
Fabric is very thin. Legs roll up constantly. For the price, I would have expected better quality. Have only washed and worn for a few hours and am already frustrated with them. Threads coming off everywhere etc. Do not recommend.
Merino wool shorts had a lot of hype. I was disappointed. They stretched out during the day and by the end I felt like I was wearing boxers instead of boxer briefs. Also, they dry considerably slower than synthetic shorts. Often, after washing in the evening they would still be damp in the morning, meaning I would have to attach them to my pack and let them fly like a flag.
It bunches up and it chafed my groin up while hiking in the Sierras.
smartwool is such a great line of products and these boxers dont disapoint !
