Finally a cool sneaker that’s not New Balance

So comfortable. Really great looking shoe. I was bored to death with the new balance everyone is wearing, blah! I hate to be a sheep. These are really cool looking, unique and comfortable AND made really really well. I bought a similar pair for my husband and he raves about them too. My only negative remark is they are a lot more purple in person. Not in a bad way just not as reflected in the product images. If you are looking for a darkish brownish tan sneaker then this is not it.

Too small

Unfortunately, I listened to another reviewer who said these run large. I don’t know what Merrells they’ve been buying but my toe touches the end of the shoe that’s my normal Merrell size. They’re short. They also feel a little wide but that’s a good thing in my book. I’m a little annoyed that I listened. I want these for an upcoming trip and now I have to rush order a larger size. I noticed they smell very strongly out of the box- hope that’s not the waterproofing. There’s a tag that says the dye (black) may transfer due to this particular dying process. That’s a first and seems a little weird to me.

Runs Big

I've been wearing Merrell low top hiking shoes for 15 years. Always order the same size (8) and comfortable right out of the box for hiking. This is a good looking shoe, but on me it runs a little big. My heels were coming up out of the shoe even with the laces tied really tight. I will be exchanging them for a half size down and am hopeful they will be a perfect fit like my previous Merrell's. I would hate to have to switch brands after so many years and miles of comfortable hiking.

I would like more size options Otherwise I am pleased with the overall comfort and warmth of the shoes when walking for kilometers in mixed weather and freezing temperatures.

Disappointed with expensive shoes

I recently purchased these shoes, and unfortunately, they’ve been a big disappointment. First, the shoelaces started fraying within a few days, with threads coming out, making them look worn out too quickly. On top of that, these shoes gave me terrible shoe bites, causing discomfort after just a short time wearing them. To make matters worse, they feel incredibly heavy to walk in, making even short distances a challenge. I expected much better quality for the price, but these have been uncomfortable and not worth the hassle.

Love these!

The Moab Speed 2 shoes are very comfortable - I ordered a half size up as I want to wear thicker socks with them, definitely needed the extra room. While they feel very supportive the heel support is lacking (feels loose around heel), I doubt it will be a rubbing issue just feels different. I haven't walked large distances in them yet, I am pleasantly surprised at the look, feel and comfort of these shoes that I am looking forward to seeing how they go in wet and icy conditions.

Amazing multi-purpose all year long shoe.

I'm the type to research for awhile across brands before I buy a new pair of shoes. I wanted something for my 3 week trip that had light snow and rain, yet still good for general all year long hiking. I'm SO glad I purchased these, they were a lifesaver on my trip! Walked through snow, puddles, rough terrain with confidence. I even wore them during my 24hr travel day -they were comfortable and stylish. Makes me wanna get outside more!

Perfect urban/trail travel shoe; runs large

Just back from two weeks in Ireland with the black pair; apart from unfortunately being too big (bought the same size as my Moab 3s), they are the perfect urban hiker. I chose them for their neutral, non-logo'd appearance and reliable Merrell comfort. Yes, they are a bit stiff at first but like all Merrells they get better every wear. I will likely give this (now perfectly broken in) pair to a friend and look for a replacement.

Leather Version PERFECT for Fall

Speed 2 has been my favorite sneaker/hiker since I purchased, so I decided to get a leather version for Fall and am so psyched I did. It's a little more "dressed up" but also versatile for every day and walking trails. The leather provides more protection, feels "heartier' but also feels a bit more dialed up on the style scale. And love the lighter neutral colors for women. HIGHLY recommend.

Kinda wide

I love the sneakers. Very comfortable under foot. I don’t have a wide foot, the sneakers are wide around the ankle part. I have to wear arch support. I usually remove the original footbed & add my arch support. With these I had to leave in the footbed & add my arch support on top. The shoe isn’t too long for my foot either.
