No Grip!

A friend recommended these boots to me, so I bought them when they were on sale at the end of last winter, but it was a mild winter, so they didn't see use except for a day or two. The back area by the ankle was stiff, and would irritate my ankles, but I figured they would wear in as I wore them more. Fast forward to this winter and they've had PLENTY of time to wear in. It still pinches and cuts in the back ankle, but not as bad. The toe bed could be insulated more- my toes get cold in these, unlike another pair of snow boots I own (my toes get cold in my other Sorel short boots too, so it might be just be a lack of insulation in their materials). My biggest problem is that they have ZERO traction. These are great for snow, but I can't tell how many times I've slipped on a bit of ice- I literally have flip flops and tennis shoes that do better with grip than these! I should've paid more attention to the bottom treads from the pictures. Maybe they were only made for the snow or super salted sidewalks ) ?? I love the look of the boots, love the height (even though they are heavy!), but if I had been able to experience the past few weeks of ice before my return period ended, these would've been returned because I can't justify the cost for a boot that can't endure all winter climates. It looks the part, but doesn't perform it!

Awkward fit

For reference, my foot length is 25 cm and width 10 cm. I ordered the size EU 40 which I normally wear in sneakers and boots. EU 39 would be my perfect foot size but my toes would be touching the end. I think I would probably be fine with EU 40 but a 1/2 size up would have made the boots a bit more comfy and roomy. The fit was kinda weird — in a negative way I unfortunately. I ended up returning these. The boots are quite heavy and awkward. But I did like these more than the Tofino II Tall. Idk if I’d ever buy these though. Maybe if I had to swim in snow… but in a city you survive well without shoes like these.

Did not hold up as hoped

I bought these boots because I needed a heavy duty, warm boot for use outdoors - walking in deeper snow, chopping wood, outdoor chores, occasional livestock care, shoveling, etc. I don’t do hardcore “hikes” in them, but I definitely get my use in them walking around the woods/fields in winter when the snow is deeper and I don’t feel like wearing gators. I enjoyed these boots while they lasted for a couple of years; they were warm; BUT the soles are quickly wearing SO THIN - can feel every bump, stick, rock, and most of all, my feet get cold easily with the thin sole under foot. The backs of the boots have cracked, allowing moisture in, defeating their purpose. The thin soles are also basically flat now, making them extremely slippery and hazardous to walk in. Another aside; I had to buy new laces because the ones they come with are quickly eaten up by lacing them up, and they did cause some heel blisters at first I have high arches and size 10/11 feet; I got size 11 so I can wear thick socks with them. For the price, I’d expect sturdier soles that hold up to actual (not just fashionable) use.

Not comfortable

I was excited about ordering these . I have A very nice different type from Sorel . But these are very bulky and uncomfortable. I ordered A half size bigger and can’t say for sure what they would feel like my regular size but even though they are bigger over all there doesn’t feel like too much space in there. The backs are stiff and the metal buckles hurt my ankle when I walk. I got Them to walk my dog in the snow . They seem water proof and do have decent grip . Not super warm but okay . I wouldn’t have got them if I saw Them in person but that’s a Risk you take with online shopping.

Nice Boots

This is my second pair. They are really cute! This pair fits as did my others and these have one snap in the back to hold the liner where my previous pair had snaps on either side which were actually a nuisance, so good deal. My only issue is that this pair doesn’t have a neoprene “tongue” across the top of the liner. The neoprene piece made sliding your foot in easier. Hope they last because they are warm and comfy. They are NOT wide so if you need that these won’t work. On sale it’s a good value.

Super durable

These boots are super durable. I’ve had mine for at least 7 years and they will probably last me another decade at least. These are better suited for outdoor activities; when I wear these to run errands, my feet tend to overheat because the shoes are so well insulated. The one downside is that these are ridiculously heavy – it’s like wearing ankle weights for workouts. It gets really tiring wearing these if you’re walking long distances, especially up and down hills.

The perfect boot

I have had these boots for 10 years and they still look brand new! They are warm and comfortable, perfect for a snowy outing like tubing. I’ve noticed a lot of these reviews are negative, but it seems they are working in these boots. These are definitely more of a cute fashion boot than a work boot. I have walked miles in the deep snow and had many tubing adventures with these boots. Treat them well and they will treat you good also!

Awesome Boots!

Love these boots! They are well worth the money. They are warm and very comfortable. They fit true to size. Had to wear them to the airport when flying out of EWR and ORD in the winter, including trekking/running to catch a connecting flight. Even though it was the first time wearing them, I had no blisters or soreness. They easily slipped on and off. So happy I had them to deal with the cold of both cities.

Not worth the money.

I have had these boots for a few years , in the last few yarather winters have been mild and these were fine. Enter this year lots of snow and ice and I thought I’m so glad I bought these boots now ! No - they have zero traction and I am sliding all over the place walking my dog. I just purchased different boots the other day and now need to figure out what to do with these.

Love the look, hate walking in them.

I got these as a gift last year, and every time I have tried to wear them I get blisters on my heels and ankles. I wanted to love these, but they just hurt my feet. The sizing is right so that is not the issue, but they just dont work unless you never have to walk at all when wearing them. so sad and disappointing.
