Absolute Game-Changer! This is my third pair of Moab 3 waterproof used for Mont Blanc circuit hike I’ve never felt more confident on the trail! These hiking shoes are incredibly comfortable, provide excellent grip, and kept my feet completely dry even through streams and muddy terrain. After miles of hiking, no blisters -just happy feet. Looking forward to use it for my upcoming Dolomite hike 100% recommend for serious adventurers!
I bought these shoes for 2 days of hiking in Vancouver. My 19 daughter wore them for the first time on the 3.5 hour flight and the right shoe started to fray at the top on our travel day. We haven't even started hiking at this point (just sitting on a plane and walking thru an airport). One day of hiking followed by a day of walking at an aquarium and shopping and the left shoe started to fray. For the price I paid and the brand, I expected more out of these shoes. I'll be returning them when we get home and my daughter was extremely disappointed since she said they were very comfortable.
Bought these a week ago, after I basically wore my unlikely hikers out in the past 6 months! The Moab 3 is one of Merrell’s best made hiking shoes. So much more support than the old Moab’s, much beefier, comfortable right out of the box, better tread,no slipping here.I own 11 pairs of Merrell hiking shoes and I can honestly say the Moab 3 and unlikely hikers are the best. My only complaint, is you don’t have any old broads as shoe testers! You all have neglected the great old broads market. I’m 65 year old avid hiker ,averaging 30 to 50 miles a week. Since I live in Colorado, I wear your shoes everyday to hike the trails by my home, from Rocky Mt. N.P. to the Flatirons. So instead of always having a cute, young person in your ads ,you need to start putting great old broads in, who actually hike everyday in your shoes!
Love the soles for getting through the woods for turkey season when insulated is too much. But these just don't do waterproofing. I've had 3 pair now, and the last pair I got didn't hold up to wet grass only on 2 trips out. Toes leak on them almost immediately. I'd like to see them in leather. Most leather waterproof hold up, but not these. No fake leather either, that breaks. Soles good for traction, comfortable, but I give a minus 5 stars for waterproof.
These shoes are relatively light weight but still rugged enough for rocky terrain. The waterproof is good for rain and low water crossing. Your feet will get wet if you submerged the shoe. The material in the uppers is breathable and dried quickly. This is my second pair of these shoes. The first pair is still going, I just like to alternate my shoes. I have been hiking for a year several time a week in Boquete Panama.
I bought these for a hiking trip to the Dolomites and wore them basically right out of the box. They are extremely comfortable and I had no issues with foot pain hiking 5+ hours a day on steep trails and lose gravel. I found them to be true to size for me! I would definitely recommend them.
Legit so cute and comfy. Helps with my balance when walking too!
I've been hiking in Moabs for years and I bought these to replace a pair that I'd worn out after long service. These look nicer than my previous Moabs , fit well and are waterproof. However, they have one really bad flaw for a hiker: you can't remove the shoelaces without ruining them! There are plastic sheaths on the ends of the shoelaces and they won't go through the top eyelet without stripping the sheath off. When the sheath strips off, the shoelace unravels and you can't get it back through the eyelet. I thought I'd warn prospective buyers. You don't want to be out on the trail and find you no longer can lace your shoes if you pull a lace out of the top eyelet.
Wore these on a serious hike up Mt. Liamuiga in St. Kitts — volcanic terrain, steep elevation, uneven rocky trails all the way to the crater rim. The grip held up the entire climb and my feet stayed comfortable even on the long descent. The wide width fit is a game changer; no pinching or hot spots after hours on the trail. Waterproofing also came through when we hit wet patches near the top. These are now my go-to hiking shoe. Highly recommend for anyone tackling serious outdoor terrain.
I’ve had three pairs and I love them. They keep my feet dry and good grip when walking on various terrain. My last pair were same size as previous pair but when I got them they were about half size too small. I was heading away for vacation and decided to keep them. I should have returned for half size up. I’m going to order another pair half size up as I’m certain they’ll be perfect. The ones I did wear worked out ok but my big toes suffered the whole time on our vacation. Great price and value I have some relatively new ones going into donation bin. I’m able to wear my older ones until newer upsized ones arrive.
