Quality pack
This backpack is light weight and comfortable. It is adjustable to fit a variety of heights. On the smallest setting my daughter who is 4’ 5” could use it although it is a little large for her. It was a good fit for my daughter who is 5’ when on the second to largest setting. I am 5’ 2” and could use it on the largest setting. The padding on the back allows for good airflow and it has all the features and pockets expected for backpacking. I didn’t go backpacking but in order to write this review I loaded it up with most of the essentials for backpacking and took it hiking. No complaints about its performance and there was room to load more into all the pockets.
Good size, features kids camping backpack
Good size camping backpack for youth/kids. My son is 10 (5'1") in the photos. It has good storage size plus smaller pockets for gear (there is even a diagram inside the top flap showing how to efficiently pack the bag). The straps for the backpack adjust for different size kids/teens. We will soon be testing it on some trips. I'll update if needed, but this should work great for him to carry all he needs for short camping trips.
Distributes weight well, H2O pocket is meh
Pros: Blue Canyon color is nice Lots of straps to compress which made carrying extra weight very easy Good adjustment options, ended up fitting multiple people in the family Hip belt does a great job of taking the weight off the shoulders and back Easy on the finger straps and clips Expanding front pocket was really nice to throw in extra layers of clothing The bag has packing instructions built into it Cons: The bottom pocket is a bit difficult to pack Pockets on the hip belt don't fit my iPhone 15 Pro Max The external water bottle pockets are very large and very loose. It's the only pocket that doesn't have a strap, and it needs one badly.
Good backpack but a little complicated
I got this for my 14 year old daughter who is interested in backpacking more often. She found the fit really good and was able to make all the adjustments needed to get it feeling comfortable, though we did not get to take it for a test hike yet due to the current weather. She found getting a sleeping bag into the bottom a little challenging, as the bottom is not a separate compartment, and once in the bag struggled to stay upright due to being imbalanced. The bag is very roomy and we were able to load it up for a weekend trip easily, including clothing, tent, and sleeping bag. We did not load food or stove, but this would be able to accommodate those as well. The front outside zippers did make accessing the sleeping bag easy, even if loading it was a challenging (we may need a tighter stuff sack). Getting everything closed up was a bit complicated for her, with multiple draw strings and strap clips required any time the main area was accessed. The peripheral areas were easier to use. The side water bottle holders seemed fine with a full pack, but seemed quite loose for a less loaded pack.
Comfy
I got this for Christ mad and was happy to see how highly quality it was 4 stars
Water bottle pouch -10
The water bottle holder on the sides is garbage. Not sure why anyone who designed this pack would make it as loose as they did
