Great pants so far!

I have not been out with these pants yet but the sizing was true to form. The pockets are a little lower which puts their contents on your thigh rather than crammed into the joint.

Not going to be warm enough.

Getting ready for some cold days in Colorado later this winter, I looked around for some good but not too expensive insulated pants. I looked at, read about, and tried on many, but due to inadequate stock in stores, I couldn't find what I wanted. I finally settled on these by reading about them online and decided to give them a try. I wore them on an upper 20s degree day here in the PNW, without an underlayer. These did not really do the job. The coldest time skiing is sitting on icy or snowy lift seats. I felt could feel the cold right through the pants. If you are going to insulate pants, then INSULATE them! I can see now that even a 20 degree day is going to require long underwear underneath. Temperatures in Colorado are below zero right now, so I don't think these are going to do the job, even with long underwear. They are also too baggy. I wish ski pant designers would focus on either skiing or snowboarding, and not try to do both. I'm an adult skier; I don't need baggy pants flopping around my legs. Also, I'm not sure what ski pant designers have against rear pockets. I would love to have at least one. That said, they seem to be sturdy and waterproof. I like how there's velcro around the front snap, as snaps often fail. The Velcro waist tighteners work well.
