Can’t even last 3 weeks
I am so disappointed in these. I had high hopes for these and received them as a birthday gift less than 3 weeks ago. Today in my workout I noticed that an entire chunk across the bottom had ripped off. This makes them practically unusable. I had my Nike Metcon 8s for two years with almost no problems. Wanted to make the switch as these seemed to have more flexibility but sadly was sadly disappointed.
Free Metcon 6
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nike Free Metcon 6 is literally the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever worn. Comprised of a lightweight/pliable/breathable material, yet sturdy base makes them a perfect shoe for both cardio and weight training. The greatest thing about this shoe is that they’re easy to pull on and the laces stay tied. Additionally, they come in several fun colors making it easy to remain fashionable when transitioning from gym activities to running errands, stopping to get coffee with friends, going to a sporting event, pop-up shop or farmer’s market without having to worry about changing shoes.
Too big again...
I'd always been size 5 1/2 with Nike's and I have small little feet and 5 1/2 had been perfect even my snowboard boots I've had. Recently I ordered Metcon 5 in 5 1/2 and they were way to big and wide and I had to return them even though they were so cute and they no longer have them on the site so I ordered t a pair of Metcon 6 in 5 1/2, but these are also too big and hurts side of my foot so I just returned them again. I don't know what happened to Nike, they run bigger these days, and I compare to side by side with my size 6 old Nike tennis shoes and my new Nike size 5 1/2, they are the same. I'm not sure if I wanna order Nike again, Nike can you please make shoes true to the size that how it used to be!!
Perfect Gym Shoes!
This is by far the best Nike Free Metcons 🙌. I've owned the previous versions and it just wasn't the right amount of support, weight and flexibility for cross training. This is the perfect for gym shoes and it feels amazing when I'm sprinting, walking, and lifting weights. I love the flexibility and light weight, and when I'm sprinting it feels like I'm running on clouds. The quality is also superior compared to the previous versions. I've had issues with the previous versions and was disappointed. I love thus version so much that I bought 4 pairs! I'm so glad I caught it on sale! Please keep this design and I'm so impressed!
Nike Does It Again!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been a fan of Metcon and Free Metcon over the years and have had multiple pairs. These are now my personal favorite from the Free Metcon line! They are incredibly comfortable and versatile whether I’m jumping rope, doing some deadlifts or going for a sprint. They’re true to size (I have a bit of a wider foot) with enough toe space for lifting. I love the breathable mesh material and the flexibility for sudden movements. I prefer the design on this shoe versus the past ones. I’ll definitely be getting these in other colors!
Hate them
I'm obsessed with my Free Metcon 5s and have worn them out, so I got these as a replacement, but wasn't happy at all. This new "upgraded" style is awful! Most of the upper has a scuba like material that looks horrendous and doesn't seem like it will hold up. They're also not as comfy on my flat feet as my current pair were right out of the box, and don't seem as stabilizing. These are more true to size, though; I'm usually an 8 in Nike but needed these in my normal 7.5. The only thing I like more about the 6 compared to the 5 is the look of the midsole, but that's not enough of a win for me to keep them. They went right back!
Women's Nike Free Metcon 6 shoes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes feel and fit comfortably. I have plenty of room in the toe box area and they have a cushiony sock-like feel. I think the design was basic on this pair of metcons compared to the 5’s and 3’s. I was expecting more details and branding. They are kind of plain. The fabric was cool and breathable. I like how the fabric is stretchy which makes it more flexible for every move I make whether it’s running, squatting, or jump roping. I like how these shoes provide comfortable cushions and stability while squatting with weights. I like how I can wear these shoes for hours without my feet being tired or hurting. The only thing I would change is the design. I would add a little more details so that it’s not too plain but I would still recommend, they are good shoes.
Durable Workout Shoes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally, my first pair of Metcon's to add to my workout shoes rotation! These are durable workout shoes for any type of workout. I love the stability it provides for my weak ankles and the extra padding on the heels. These have helped me with my balance when lifting weights and take the pressure off of my knees. I do recommend breaking them in before lifting though as they are a little tight (maybe size up 1/2 or a full size). I do also have trouble putting these on without a shoe horn because there is no separate tongue. The initial stiffness did hurt my flat feet for a day or two but now I love them. I can feel a bit more flexibility in the outsole as well as the upper mesh layer. I also love wearing these daily as they are stylish and go with any athleisure outfit.
Metcom performance with Nike free comfort
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was never a fan of traditional training shoes. They were too stiff and rigid for my liking. I feel the Metcom free strikes a good balance between support and solid shoe for weight training but also comfortable enough to do some light cardio on a treadmill or elliptical. Nike struck a good balance with this shoe as an everyday gym shoe. If you don’t want to switch back and forth between a supportive weight training shoe and a running shoe , the Metcom free is a good compromise between both.
NO PAIN
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes are comfortable. I initially thought they would start hurting quickly because they were a bit stiff. I wore them all day and didn’t have to switch them out. They are lightweight and stable. I wore them to workout and I had good balance during my routine. They have quickly become a daily wear for me. I typically need to change my shoes after long wear, but these I feel fine. I also think the design of the shoe is interesting and intriguing. I would recommend buying these.
