DELAMINATION, DEFECTIVE - POOR SUPPORT AND SERVICE
As many reviews have stated, this jacket runs a bit large - which I like for skiing - but EXPERIENCES MASSIVE ISSUES WITH DELAMINATION. This occured at many many points in the jacked for me - armpits, snow skirt + more. I spent $ to send it to arcteryx to get it repaired and they have tried to just offer a 20% credit. The facts in these reviews are CLEAR AND CONSISTENT. THERE IS A DEFECT IN THIS PRODUCT'S MANUFACTURING IMPACTING CUSTOMERS. PLEASE SUPPORT YOU CUSTOMERS PROPERLY AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ISSUES WITH YOUR PRODUCTS.
I look forward to more treks with this jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is my favorite. It accompanied me on my autumn trek through Patagonia and even in the rain, cold and ever-present wind it provided me with full comfort. It ventilated perfectly during difficult crossings with a heavy pack on my back and shows no signs of use!
Key partner in my snowboarding family adventures
This shell also has helped me to navigate the varying conditions. This past season has been very wet and I have been dry thanks to my jacket. It especially feels great to have a barrier to the weather that you can trust when you are going up the lift. Since you are not moving I find this is a crucial time to not let the elements penetrate your jacket. My Rush gives me confidence that this will note happen. The powder skirt has kept the snow from riding up my back. I have a long torso and I appreciate that it is low enough. It also has 2 button settings which gives me a comfortable fit. The front pockets are easily accessible and allows me to put things like my phone in it. I can easily transition from filming my son doing his jumps and boxes to putting it in my pocket and ripping my own run without stopping. The shoulder pocket is nice to put my pass in so the RFID reader can read my pass. The velcro straps on the wrist are even well designed. I find it easy to tightness so my Fission mitts can go over them and not let any snow get it. Also, I LOVE that this jacket is so light. I don't feel heavy and weighted down. I definitely feel like I'm flying when I'm ripping it and comfortable when I'm walking aroudn the resort. I love my Rush and can't wait for it to be a part of my snowboarding adventures with my family!
Rush jacket shell fabric
I received my rush jacket today and noticed the chest is tighter than expected. As well the shell is described as goretex pro -80 but I find it has an inferior finish to my previous sidewinder jacket. Which used a goretex pro 70. Which had a velvet rubber finish. Does anyone have any experience with the shells
Awesome touring / backcountry ski jacket!
Awesome backcountry / touring ski jacket. Perfext for layering. My second Rush jacket but in my opinion, the last gen was better. They removed the powder skirt in the new version, what is the point, even just to remove a few gram!
Rugged Jacket
The Arc'teryx Rush jacket has been my trusted companion throughout countless ski mountaineering trips, ski tours, long traverses, and even during fall and spring hikes. I've come to appreciate its perfect fit and rugged durability, especially when facing the toughest bushwhacks. Its versatility has been a game-changer, providing reliable protection from the elements while ensuring freedom of movement and comfort across a range of outdoor activities.
Reliable and Rugged for the Harshest Conditions
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Arc’teryx RUSH JACKET is a powerhouse of a shell that lives up to the brand’s reputation for high-performance outerwear. I’ve used it on multiple mountain adventures, from powder days to intense, wet hikes, and it’s never let me down. The GORE-TEX Pro material provides excellent waterproofing without sacrificing breathability, so even during tough climbs, I didn’t feel like I was in a sauna. The athletic fit is spot on; it’s not too bulky, leaving room for layering when it gets really cold. I also appreciate the helmet-compatible hood and pit zips for ventilation, both of which make it super adaptable in variable conditions. One small downside might be the price, but the durability and performance make it a solid investment for anyone serious about mountain sports. Highly recommend for anyone needing a reliable shell for the backcountry or unpredictable weather!
Great lightweight shell!
Well-placed pockets, including a sleeve pocket for an RFID pass, and a helmet-compatible hood come in handy. Great Gore-Tex fabric, sealed zippers, and good ventilation. The dark magic colour is stylish. I know shell jackets are not designed to provide warmth, but in my opinion, this jacket is too thin/lightweight for a snowboard shell. The previous model was a hybrid of 80D and 100D, but this current version features only an 80D construction. Also, the lack of a powder skirt is a huge disappointment. I would definitely recommend The Arc'teryx Rush as a great all-around lightweight shell, but I wouldn't recommend it for snowboarding due to its light construction and lack of a powder skirt.
7 years and still looks great!
Just realised that I’ve had my Rush jacket for about 7 years now!? Tbf, it’s probably only been on two snow holidays in that time but it’s been my go to jacket for any outdoor activities where rain was a possibility. It still looks basically brand new! It obvs doesn’t always bead quite as well in very wet weather conditions but the odd Nikwax wash helps. In terms of durability, this probably makes it the most long-lived jacket I’ve ever had, be that from arcteryx or other brands. Even if my jackets took more of a beating before I had a small child, still think this is holding up very well.
Goated Jacket
This jacket is outstanding and versatile, making it ideal for resort skiing, freeriding, and especially touring. It serves as the perfect shell for nearly every snowsport discipline. Made with 80D Gore-Tex Pro, it feels incredibly durable and capable of withstanding almost any weather condition. Despite its robust construction, the jacket remains light, breathable, and tough. Even with the characteristic stiffness of Gore-Tex, it offers excellent ease of movement, providing a full range of motion for your back and arms. I highly recommend this jacket to anyone seeking a do-it-all ski shell. It’s simple yet delivers exceptional performance in every aspect. Its fit stays relatively true to size, I would even go as far as recommending this jacket over the Sabre, as its simplicity and fit are just unmatched. (This jacket has no fleece lining or snow skirt, which, in my opinion, makes it more versatile as those two features can be replaced with good layering and a snow bib.
