Reduce stress by having a spare cable for travel.

Finally have a spare cable to keep with my travel battery pack. I use the original cable on the computer for charging and updates, but on a recent trip I forgot that cable and stressed about using lower power mode to make it for the four days. Could not find this cable at any of the stores in the town we traveled to. Definitely recommend having one in your travel gear.

Great cable for Garmin watch.

Best charging/data cable for my Fenix 6x Pro. The original cable started failing after 3+ years of use. I tried several cheap "compatible" cables and adapters which all failed in a few weeks time. This is a real Garmin product and the improved version which is longer as the shorty that came with my watch. Also USB-C which is a plus.

Like the other reviewer mentioned, the garmin-brand chargers are high quality and last years. Cheaper off-brand chargers I've purchased before all broke within months.

Buy Garmin charging cables for Garmin devices

I first bought a second charging cable for my Garmin 945 online. Bought a non-Garmin brand due to the cost - $7 versus $25. The non-Garmin cable NEVER worked properly - charging would cut in and out - I frequently had to hold the cable and watch a certain way to keep the charge going. As I do value my time, I decided to spend the $25 and get the real thing. Works like a charm! Would give it 5 stars but I still think it's overpriced.

Helpful Staffer

Due to an old laptop with only USB-A ports, my original Garmin charger melted when I charged my watch on the laptop using an apparently cheapo USB-C adapter. I wasn't sure if my watch's charging port was also damaged in the USB adapter's meltdown. The REI staffer kindly helped me open up and test a new charging cable on my phone prior to purchase to make sure my phone's charging port still worked.

Go with OEM

Was having connection/charging for my Fenix watch with aftermarket cables. Bought the Garmin branded cable and do not seem to have any more issues. Still not super happy about charger plug design for a $1000 watch, but otherwise it is amazing.
