[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had one of the 260 Long-Sleeve, quarter-zip tops for about five years and absolutely love it. (I used it on a trek to Mt. Everest base Camp.) I purchased this one for my partner, who plays "winter golf" (temps can be in the low 40's for early tee times), and like me, she thinks it's absolutely perfect. It's breathable, and she can move (i.e., swing the golf club) freely. She has remarked more than a few times about how warm this top keeps her. We are now both big fans of this great product.
Substantial feel but soft this has been a great base layer for xc skiing in the very cold. Some wool base layers are like tissue paper. This quarter zip is substantial. Came back to order another icebreaker.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I already owned this top in black, so I knew that the weight is excellent for layering and staying warm, yet not looking bulky. The midnight navy color is gorgeous and I love it even more than the black. It's great that the wool doesn't get stinky because I've been wearing this almost every day since it arrived (either with the Merino 150 Siren tank or the Merino 260 Long Sleeve crewneck underneath, both also in Midnight Navy).
I've been wearing Icebreaker since they first came to the US in the early 2000's, and the sis the first time I've had an issue. I've literally worn out the majority of my pieces but this was different. Within a month it became stiff, itchy, and extremely uncomfortable. Absolutely not what I would expect from Icebreaker. Perhaps there was a fiber treatment that went wrong? Or the quality has just declined that much?
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this Icebreaker top ... I buy a new one every year, they stay in excellent condition year after year I wear them every single day in the fall & winter hiking in New Mexico or traveling too far off lands like New Zealand, Iceland, Norway There's nothing better for comfort and warmth whether you're wearing it during the day out having fun in the winter Wonderland or at night sleeping in your camper van
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wear this shirt or the ones I have like it in other colors almost every day except in the summer. They layer when it's cold, and are comfortable on their own in spring and fall. Because they're 100% merino they don't smell even after a week of wear. They do have to be cold water washed and hung to dry. My others are black, gray and navy, so I like having one that's more colorful, but not at all garish.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this product so much....I have given 4 to friends for presents and purchased one for each of my sisters. Along with that I have purchased 3 for myself which i rotate through. They are amazingly comfortable. easy to wash and look great. I play golf in them, hike in them and wear them out to dinner with a scarf at add bit of jazz. One of my all-time favorite products!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a half zip from the brand in the lighter 200 series. This one is thicker and warmer1 it is also much longer which was unexpected and isn't as functional for me but it is fine. I also sized up to a medium so I can wear a layer beneath it as well. Very well made; my other one has lasted a long time and I expect this one will too.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You can never go wrong with this thermal top. I own several and find them to be both functional and look good. The color on this one however is terrible. It's closer to a rust brown. I'll keep it since it was a sale item, but had I paid full price for this I would returned without a second thought.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I look forward to putting on my survival essential merino wool baselayer every morning... Not to climb mountains... To enjoy every day keeping cosy... If I was a cat, I would purr! Thank you Icebreaker from Sue aged 74. PS I add another Icebreaker layer plus hat and neck warmer to walk with dog.
