Trifecta! Warm, lightweight and packable.

This is the piece I have been waiting for. For backcountry skiing, bringing an emergency puffy is a must. Some are too lightweight for real emergencies (or pit digging!), others are warm, but too bulky. This one packs down so small in its own, attached stuff sack. It scrunches down even more in my pack, even when it's in the stuff sack. I appreciate the slightly oversized stuff sack so it's easy to put back in with gloves on. The fit is longer than the traditional cerium, therefore, warmer and cozier. I ordered my usual Arc'Teryx size for jackets and shells (L) and it's perfect. There is a soft baffle around your wrist to keep the wind and cold out, unlike on the regular Cerium. The two large interior pockets can be used to store skins, an extra pair of gloves, a water bottle, or whatever else you want next to your body. The Phantasm (purple) color is so much more beautiful in person. I recently took an AIARE Pro 1 course and the instructors were all asking about this piece! The Cerium SV hoody will always be coming with me in the backcountry.

Low quality.

Down fill started to come out at the seam after the first few months of purchase. So disappointed.

Warm and light jacket, minor flaws.

I really like this jacket. It’s warm and very light. There are some flaws such as there being no way to close the neck area, leaving cold air entering. This jacket wont keep you fully warm if wind chills are below 20 Fahrenheit therefore you would need layers underneath for full warmth. This jacket protects against light rain but not heavy rain. Overall this jacket is great for everyday wear and very fashionable. It’s not heavy and wont look bulky on the body.

New favourite jacket - EVER!

This is hands down my new favourite jacket of all time. It is SO warm, comfortable, packs down wonderfully, and looks great. I got it in black and I already know I'll wear it for everything. Pack for colder ski touring days, wear around town, bring winter camping, you name it. I am 5'6", 135lb, and I purchased a size medium. This perfect since there is room to wear it over other layers, but doesn't feel overly large.

Perfect Layering Piece

I'm really impressed with the fit, warmth, and weight of this jacket. The inner cuff is a standout feature for me, it keeps the snow from getting inside your sleeves, which I absolutely love. I also really like that the outer fabric is more resistant to abrasions.

the best down hoody ever!

bought for ski touring and just out and about. I wear it for lunch stops, descents and uphills on really cold days. It gives me a wide temperature range, so warm and sooooo light! Love it right to those great little wrist cuffs.

I bought it the second day when it came out to the store. I like the comfy and soft. It described as SV, but it's not warm enough

Great jacket, but not perfect

Great jacket, but not perfect. I can’t lie I was a little underwhelmed when I first opened parcel, but I’m glad I kept it. I’ll start off by saying this is by far the warmest down jacket I’ve ever owned. It’s night and day difference. I’ve only worn it so far in temperatures ranging from around 2°C-8°C so nothing crazy cold, but it’s very noticeably warm. I know fill power has no correlation to how puffy a garment is, but I was expecting the jacket to look a little puffier than it does. The baffles are fairly flat. It’s also fairly basic, no bells or whistles, which I imagine is purposeful by Arc’teryx for performance, but like I said it can feel a little underwhelming, especially at that price point. I don’t have a lot of confidence in the zip pullers. They’re quite thin & flimsy plastic and I can imagine over time they will become brittle and break easy. And I also really don’t like the friction cord locks that Arcteryx are currently using. This jacket has the same super small cord locks found on the Norvan trail running cap, and I find them hard to adjust and comically small. I get that every ounce counts when it comes to weight saving & packability, but these things drive me mad. All in all it’s a great jacket, looks great and feels great. Are there better/ similar options out there for cheaper? Probably… but it’s Arc’teryx Also worth noting, I’m a guy but bought the women’s version for the burgundy colour. Please offer it in the men’s range in the future its beautiful
