Go to baselayer

Top 5 Arc'teryx products for sure. The 1/2 zip is cute and practical while being something that I can keep on all day. Super soft, super comfy, and a great baselayer in wet and dry conditions. My fave base layer for anything ski to climbing. Breathable and honestly stays unsmelly for more than a wear or two - which might be the most underrated base layer rating metric.

3 long dog walks daily regardless of the weather

This is my absolute live in for dog walking during the Autumn/Winter. It’s warm without bulk. No tightness in underarms when I layer. Enough stretch for super comfort with movement. I wear it every wash cycle. Love it. Will buy another. Highly recommended. My dog gets better walks because of it!

Pair with the pants for perfect base warmth

I wore this baselayer along with my Thorium down jacket, and a Gore tex shell when I snowboarded in the poconos this season. It was -20 degrees outside with high gusts of wind. I have iron anemia, and terrible blood circulation due to Reynaud's, but despite all that my core was warm. The arms were long enough to cover my wrists and the shoulders were stretchy enough to fit my athletic build. I highly recommend this product! I also like the small zip pocket on the bicep.

Dislike recent changes

I just purchased this in Midnight Frost. It seems thinner and is slightly longer than my older version in black, neither of which is a positive change in my opinion. I also really dislike the arm pocket, and particularly the contrasting black with the Midnight Frost colour. Please stop with the contrasting black trim - I would buy the Kyanite hoodie in Midnight Frost if it didn’t have the contrasting black pockets. The Atom with black side panels is even worse.

Hi there, thank you for sharing your review of the Kyanite Baselayer Zip Neck. We’re sorry to hear that the fit, fabric, and contrasting trim didn’t meet your expectations, especially compared to your previous version. The Kyanite Baselayer is designed for cold days and mixed‑output activities, with a soft brushed interior that helps trap heat during rest phases, but we understand that design updates and colour‑blocking aren’t for everyone. Your feedback about the design details and colourways is incredibly valuable, and we’ve shared it with our design team to help inform future products. Thank you again for taking the time to leave a review.

Nice fleece but horrible colour selection

This is a great heavy base layer. I wear it all the time for curling, and I really like the length, the fit, and that it has some stretch. However, the colours are atrocious. I have black and would purchase one or two more if there were good colours, but they’ve been so drab and just generally awful. Please come out with something bright/rich - labyrinth, vitality, expanse, etc.

Breathable, warm, heavyweight fleece top

I own three colors of the kyanite zip-neck base and it remains a go-to staple in my closet for colder weather. Over the last two years it has remained durable, kept me warm in rain or snow, comfortable, and great for layering. It is true to size fit. The perfect fit for a petite, curvy body type. Arcteryx please release colors in dark burgundy or navy, next. Highly recommend!

So lovely and warm and comfortable!

I love this base layer, its so warm and comfortable. Like wearing a big warm hug! Really helps me when working out on the croft in the cold wind, really great. I have 3 tops and the bottoms as well, wear them almost every day! Durable, easy drying. Really the best product I have ever bought and will definitely buy more.

So warm!

This baselayer is so warm and comfortable! I typically use it under a shell for most activities in the PNW, no puff needed! Best for easy hiking, XC skiing in cold conditions, or as a layer under a puff for camping or slow output activities in the cold. Looks great on its own as well!

Love This Base Layer Top!

This thermal shirt is great. The medium fit is perfect on me including sleeve length. (I am 5'8" and weigh 135.) I love ❤️ the midnight frost color. The little zipper patch on the upper left arm is 😎 cool. The material is top quality. I'm going to wear this all winter long!

Love it 😍

It’s my second set, I don’t want to wear anything else now! I’ve had the other set for about a year and unlike some of the comments , mine has no holes or fabric issues. I must say that I wash it in the regular cycle but I never put it in the dryer, just hang dry.
