Just got back from a 6 day road trip and this was my luggage. This duffel is going to last a long time...it's made very well, has a high quality zipper & the fabric is nice and tough. It also holds a quite a bit. The only odd thing is the way the shoulder strap connects...it is kind of awkward & not what I'm used to...but I rarely ever want to use a shoulder strap anyway so I'm not really bothered by this. The color & print are beautiful...also easy to spot in a trunk full of bags. Bonus feature...the packaging for this duffel is another small usable bag...the perfect size for basic toiletries or other small bits that you might need to take with you. This is a wonderful way to reduce waste...good job REI...good job!!!
I recently took this duffle on a trip to Africa. It was perfect for the small bush planes, roomy enough for two weeks worth of gear, and easy to pick out from the pile of luggage. I was impressed with how well the sturdy canvas held up through baggage handlers on 7 different flights. Definitely a good value!
We got this to fly some camping equipment home as checked luggage and it worked great. Most of our camp kitchen fit in this bag; 2 burner stove, aluminum oven, pots and pans. We added some clothing for padding. The bag fits in a small storage bag that doesn’t take up much space and doubles as a pouch for small items when using the bag.
I love the print and the size carries a good amount of gear. My only gripe is the zippers are a bit thin and weak feeling. Packed it up to capacity and thought I was going to bust a zipper trying to close it. Ended up wrapping a ratchet strap around it to keep it from bursting in transit. Packed around 22kg in it and other than the zipper everything felt well constructed.
Got this for a road trip, as I had realized on my last one that my carry on luggage didn’t make much spatial sense in a car. It was big for a 4 day trip with packing cubes, but that made it a lot easier to sort through things and toss in used clothes without reorganizing. It isn’t freestanding, but I didn’t have a problem with it. It’s probably be too big for a weekender.
Got this on sale for Labor day, still Overpriced for a canvas Bag. The bad thing is I had to buy this to replace the bag my REI Base Camp 6 came in. It was poorly designed too thin material and too small. The Good thing is I'm all set now
Ok but very "floppy". I needed it to be more sturdy. It's quite floppy and doesn't stand up on it's own. I also wanted side pockets. Reviews that I read were good but this isn't the duffel bag for me.
Very nice medium size duffel. I love the pattern. It is lightweight but sturdy and well made. It easily folds back to the original compact size for storage.
This bag is the perfect size for a week's vacation! I even used the packing bag it comes in to put my toiletries in.
This bag more than meets my expectations. It is spacious and the fabric is durable. The size is just what I needed.
