Charge with ease + Eco-Friendly packaging

Loving various rechargeable batteries for the last 25 years from Ni-Cad to Nimh battery chemistry. These Paleblues AAAs are awesome with the USB charging interface, I no longer need to bring the recharging block with me as well as searching for a wall outlet. Paleblues fast charges within an hour. For the 1st test run, with backup Eneloops AAAs as a form of redundancy, I took these Paleblue batteries on a night hike from South to North Rim of the Grand Canyon 9pm-6am with flawless operation between red, Spot, Flood light options on low/medium setting in 80F-90F temperatures. No loss of power or interruptions. Looking forward to testing again on a longer evening hike. Being able to charge the Paleblue AAAs via portable solar panel or power bank is a game changer! Looking forward to purchasing more sets for other AAA gadgets. Thank you Paleblue for your efforts in a Eco-Friendly retail packaging.

Works as advertised. Good product.

I bought these for camping gear but my kids stole them for their gaming controllers, so I'm back to buy more!

Pale Blue is the best!

I’ve started with just double AA Pale Blue batteries and it didn’t take very long until I went to their website and bought their starter pack to switch to sustainable batteries for our entire household! They charge pretty quickly (about an hour) and last for months in basic battery powered appliances. I also like how the charging cord is designed to let you charge multiple batteries once. If you’re on the fence - go for it! These have paid for themselves many times over already. A quick and easy way to go green

Test your charging setup before you need it

Good so far, but charger compatibility limitations are worth considering. Firstly, the instructions indicate that it's best to use the provided cable, connected to a strictly 5v source. What I tested below is outside what Paleblue say will always work. I would like not to have to carry the special cable or a specific charger if I can avoid it so I tested some combinations. Ok: Older USB-A charger (5v 2.4A) with a USB-A-to-C adapter and straight cable to a battery charges. Not Ok: Anker Nano 511 20w charger and the provided cable (with USB-A to C adapter) it does not charge. Nor does it charge with a straight USB-C cable to a single battery. If I stack USB2 adapters in the middle (USB-C to microUSB, micro to C) it seems to force 5v and starts charging. Stacking C-to-A and A-to-C adapters does not charge. Ok: Older power bank with USB-A out with a USB-A-to-C adapter and straight cable to a battery charges. Not Ok: Newer USB-C PD power bank does not charge a battery with a straight cable. BUT, unlike the wall charger, stacking either micro-to-C or USB-C-to-A adapters on the PD port does allow a battery to charge when connected with a normal cable. For me these would be 5* if I could just poke any USB-C power source and know they'll charge. It's probably either cost or size that prohibit use with PD chargers today, so it's understandable but a little disappointing. If you will use these in the woods or while traveling, be sure to test the charging combination you hope to use before you leave home.

The Best Batteries for Outdoor Adventurers!

I'm always looking for ways to reduce my environmental impact while still having reliable gear. That's why I was so excited to try out Paleblue's rechargeable batteries for my headlamps and avalanche beacon. These batteries are awesome. Not only are they much better for the environment than disposable alkaline batteries, but they will save you money in the long run. Yes, the upfront cost is higher, but Paleblue batteries can be recharged multiple times before needing replacement. Think about how much you'll save by not constantly buying new batteries! Plus, they hold a charge incredibly well - I got over 20 hours of use out of my headlamp on a recent backpacking trip. And they perform reliably even in very cold temperatures when alkaline batteries tend to drain quickly. Switching to rechargeable batteries is such an easy way to reduce waste from your outdoor adventures. I'm never going back to disposables. Highly recommended!

Great Batteries!

Stoked to finally have rechargeable batteries that charge fast and work great! Hopefully toxic, single use batteries will soon be a thing of the past.

Giving Them Another Chance

First pack I received about a year ago have been great. They last several weeks with occasional daily use and are easy to recharge. Saves a lot in the long run vs buying batteries regularly. However, the second pack I bought must have been defective. Using them in the same equipment and these would die after a matter of days, rather than weeks. So finally decided to return them. 4 star instead of 5, but ordering another pack hoping that last one was a fluke.

Game changer

Game changer. Charge them up before you head out, and you know your headlamp has 100%. No more throwing out half used batteries, carrying extras, or wondering how much juice is left in those old energizers that have been sitting in your pack for a few months. Also great for remotes around the house. Your days of filling landfills with alkaline batteries are over.
