I bought this shoe about 2 weeks ago at a local run store, compared to the nimbus these are way more responsive/bouncy and gives you great cushion and stability for those easy long runs. I’ve been enjoying these for those easy long runs and superblast 2 for those tempo long runs.
Look good, feel good, run good. Will buy it again.
Great every day running shoe. Not built for racing but absolute cruiser that will take care of your legs. The dual layer foam setup is soft but stable while being very smooth. Not a lot of bounce but a lot of roll with a perfectly placed rocker. I believe the magic is in the rocker position and grade combined with the midsole setup. I was consumed with the Nova and Superblast so I didn’t try the first version. Probably a good thing. I’m surprised by just how much I like this shoe. My all time favorite every day trainer/ long run shoe.
I was extremely surprised on how great this show was for me. After having to return the Glycerin Max (shoe just wasn’t for me), I wasn’t sure what to think of the Glideride Max, but after 40 miles on the treadmill and on the road, these shoes are it! I was looking for a shoe that would take care of my feet during longer, easier runs that didn’t feel boring. It’s soft, but stable and the rocker feels great. Not too fancy looking but somehow still a great looking shoe (I have the Birch/Black colorway).
Got mine a week ago, since then I’ve put 10 miles on them, noticed slight knee pain after my first 4 mile run, brushed it off. Picked them up again, and put in another 4 miles. Really wanted to love these shoes, but the fit isn’t for me. For reference I wear a 10.5 in asics Superblast 2. Unfortunately I will be returning them, super soft and stable ride tho
I hated the Prime X, the Skyward X and even the Superblast 1& 2, so this was my last attempt at high stack shoes. Well, this one is a hit!! Very comfortable, good lockdown , incredible midsole, stable, grippy, and the roll through the stride is really where it’s at. Definitely my new longrun shoe!!
I'm a heavier runner (220) and I love these shoes. I have avoided running for many years because of knee and foot issues. However, at 58 I'm training for my first 10k and these shoes have made training a lot of fun with NO knee of feet issues. Great shoes, highly recommended.
Great shoes, fast, comfy, and long lasting, very pleased with the new version. I have had Glidride's since the first version, and occasionally I'll try other road shoes, I always come back to Gliderides for road training and marathons. Also, no rolling my ankles
I’ve owned the GlideRide 1 and 2—while they didn’t look as sleek or polished as this version, they were much more comfortable and functional. This new model feels overly soft and mushy, and it’s also uncomfortably tight around the toes. Owned for over 1 month.
I use them for my long runs (22km - 30km) in Zone 2. They are great and better than Hoka Clifton 9. For the speed work, I prefer Adidas Adizero Boston 12, Adidas Adizero Adios Pro 3. I am thinking of trying something from ASICS for my speed runs.
