Great for wind and wet

The firefall jacket is an awesome shell for wind and rain. I purchased it for backcountry skiing but this winter has been a low to no snow year with unseasonably warm temperatures. Needless to say I haven’t used it for its intended purpose. I have worn it in a blowing rain storm and it kept me warm and dry. The fit is great. I am a XXL. 6’2’’255lbs. The jacket fits well everywhere. The powder skirt inside feels like the jacket is tight around the waist but it’s the skirt. I’ve never owned one before so it took a little getting used to. When I look in a mirror it looks like the picture but feels like it’s hugging my waist, but I guess that’s what it is supposed to do. I would highly recommend this jacket.

Not waterproof

I was very excited about this jacket and the fit was good. Had good pockets for everything and I was very excited to test it out. The first time I used the jacket, water immediately soaked into the shell layer and made it a miserable and wet day on the slopes. The product description said it was waterproof but I can confirm that it is NOT waterpoof. I'm currently in the process of going through a warranty claim that they quoted will take 6 to 8 weeks...

Solid.

This thing is great. First two days on the mountain with it were a balmy 50 degrees, and with vents, SUPER comfy temps. Last day was about 20 at the base, single digit wind chills up top and TONS of snowfall. Closed the vents, and was not cold. Waterproofing works great. 10/10 would recommend.

Too Short and Powder Skirt is in the wrong place

This jacket is well made except for the powder skirt is way too high. Because it sits above my hips it is basically useless. This jacket fits well everywhere else but they misplaced the skirt when designing this
