My hands aren’t cold anymore!
I’ve worn these gloves for 2 ski trips a couple cross country skiing days and a few cold days. They work great so far! The gloves themselves are very warm. I found I was using either the low setting a lot or only turning them on for a while to warm my hands up after having to take the gloves off for a bit. I can’t attest to the long term durability yet because they’re still fairly new. They definitely seem well made though. The batteries come out very easy so they don’t have to be with the gloves when charging. The tethers are strong & come in handy while messing with goggles or grabbing the phone for an epic pic! I found the fit to be good.

Heating was Ineffective
Maybe I got a dud, maybe they aren’t that great. Trying them in my house, they seemed to perform well and I was excited to use them. However, using them on the ski hill with only -2 degrees Celsius weather, the tips of my fingers felt cold. Disappointing, as I suffer from a hand condition where I easily lose circulation and was really hoping that these would be the magic bullet to keep my hands warm as I enjoy the slopes. Other than the heating aspect, the gloves made with quality materials. Not worth the money. Too bad, as I have been purely using OR mitts for over 2 decades.
Tried so many others, and this GLOVE Keeps my Hand warm,
So many other brands have failed to meet the standards that the Prevail has set. I am amazed at the functionality of this glove, I had had so many past failures, that I had set the bar very low. I can only state this is the first time I have slied all day and still had left-over battery charge. This maybe the best glove on the market, for me it has made the difference between enjoying the day skiing, and having to end the day early due to painfully cold fingers.
Cold hands in Steamboat Springs
I bought these as a Christmas gift for my wife, who frequently deals with cold hands while skiing in Colorado. After getting used to the fit of the gloves (mostly the gauntlet, which is understandably bulky because of the batteries), she now raves about how comfortably warm her hands are all the time. She has mostly just used the lowest setting while skiing, but the intermediate and max settings have been effective when needing to warm up quickly. On a particularly cold day, she also used the gloves to warm her toes during a short break in a warming hut. She has been very pleased with these gloves and I have won her appreciation: a win-win. I bought these gloves based upon a favorable review from Outdoor Gear Lab. I can see how the Hestra heated gloves may provide more dexterity, but the fit and design of these OR gloves is very good.
My first pair of heated gloves
Overall the gloves are nice. They are very large and a bit clunky, however I expected that. The warmth you get is very nice, but they don't get extremely hot. Battery life is good and work as advertised. As this is my first pair of heated gloves I would say they are good for both beginners and experts. If you curious about how heated gloves might work for you, these are a good place to start.

Great Gloves
I ordered these late in the season and have only used them on one spring skiing day. I did not use the heaters but the gloves are well manufactured and I anticipate will work great next season. I would make one recommendation: like a lot of gloves, they are almost impossible to put on if your bare hands are moist. You will need a pair of thin glove liners to help you slip in to them.
Great gloves
I've used these 5 or 6 times skiing in the Canadian Rockies. The low and medium settings do a good job of preventing my hands from getting cold, while the highest setting is great for a quick blast to warm up while sat on a chairlift. I've only had one day so far when they ran out of power, on a very cold day where I skied 9-4 swapping between high and medium temperature settings. Considering the size of the batteries, I would've expected the gloves to feel bulkier than they are. They aren't noticeable at all when the gloves are on, they feel very comfortable. My only issue with the gloves is that they don't seem like they will last as long as they should for the price. I got the cream colored design because I liked the look of them - they look great but I would suggest getting black instead. After only a few days' use, most of the coloring on the palms has rubbed off so they look way more worn than they should. Also, some threads near the battery pouch are starting to come loose.
New is not better.
This is my 3rd pr of these gloves having obtained 2 pr on warranty after switches failed. The gloves suffer from over stuffed linings not thoroughly attached to the shell which makes them difficult to put on, especially while skiing. The overstuffed liner coupled with the elastic wrist cuff traps moisture which frustrates the insulation and results in cold sweaty hands no matter the heat setting. Same problem as the last version. The wrist leashes are too elastic and therefore unreliable to secure gloves while on ski lift and I will be replacing them with the string leashes I salvaged from 1st warrantied pair. The battery cable seems to have been redesigned which may eliminate failures. The battery pocket on recent versions has too small a zipper which necessitates pinching the battery pack to get it in resulting in battery wire failures. This can be reinforced with tape and shoe goo. OR had been great at replacing failed gloves. Please go back to the original design which fit better and provided more functional warmth.
These gloves were defective. The first time I used the gloves the battery in one of the gloves died after less than 2 hours on low. Bench testing in my house, the same battery died after 2 hours and 45 minutes running on low. OR has no quality control.

Super Warm for Coldest Days
very warm but a bit bulky. I sized up based on feedback from a friend who has very large hands and I think I should have gone with what was actually my size. Other than that, they are very warm with the heater and work well on cold days.
