Durable luggage tags
I purchased several sets of these gear tags as luggage tags and so far, they've held up after an international trip and two domestic trips. The plastic rings are very tight when you first put the tag end through, but there's a subtle trick where you have to feed the tag end through at a slight angle. After a few tries, you find a sweet spot and it goes on your gear easily.
A little awkward on my pack, but very durable
I normally love Matador products, but I don't love this one as much as I love others. It is very durable, but the size and shape of these gear tags makes it a little difficult to secure. I'm placing it on an Osprey Daylite 45 Duffel, and it's honestly just unwieldy. It took me longer than it should have to unfasten the gear tag and rethread it onto the bag. The strap area that goes around a loop/handle is too wide to work smoothly on smaller loops, but was too bulky when applied to a thicker trap. I wish Matador offered these in different widths. That said, the durability is unmatched. I look forward to traveling with these, even if they are a little awkward on my pack. I used a thick Sharpie to write my contact information and have had no issues with it.
Great tags
These are great tags! No way these are going to slip off luggage or get broken in baggage handling. Glad I was able to get in on the special price!

Follow up to: Not delivered
The problem was with the postal service and not REI. The package was delivered by mistake to a neighbor who was out of town so I did not receive it when it was marked as delivered.
