Very dissappointed

This kayak has had a couple of issues so far. The pedal on one side fell off while I was out on the water and the steering control was not working properly. I'm now checking everything on the kayak to make sure that it is seaworthy. I'm not sure if this is an REI issue or an Old Town Kayak issue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love everything about this kayak except the engineers who didn't put any thought at all about working on this boat. The rudder install should have been 5 minutes. It's been 4 hours. Just make it easy for aftermarket parts. I don't want to be working on my kayak this long to install a rudder. Ive worked on everything there is out there but this kayak has me beat currently. Rudder lever isn't working and I'm going to have to leave it that way until I find a schematic on the entire system. Looks easy is not

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this kayak! Bought it mostly for my daughter for leg exercise, but i tried it and loved it also! Goes really smooth in the water! Got the blue, really show up good at a long distance. This is my third ocean kayak purchase.
