Almost!

This is a beautiful dress, and I really wanted to love it! I’m 5’6”, 134lbs, with a small frame, and I bought a medium. I loved the color, how it skimmed over my belly, and the style overall. The problem for me was twofold. One is that the back of the dress is cut so low that my bra strap showed above the deepest part of the v. The other issue was that the dress clung to my backside enough so that every panty line and every lump showed through the fabric. It looked great from the front, but for me, the back was not flattering. Also, it is a bit on the short side, hitting a couple of inches above my knees. That was fine, but the back was the issue. Bringing it back to the store.

Great dress

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Love how it sits, and how comfortable it is. I bought two dresses, both colours. Love them!

So flattering

I love this dress. It is so flattering and forgiving. I got the XL to fit my 34G chest and it fits perfectly. I am 5'5" and a bit overweight at 177 lbs but it will still look great when I lose weight. Very thoughtful design and pocket placement so they don't pucker or add weight to hips. The arm holes are perfect- not too tight or too loose/low. Length is just right too. I will definitely get it in other colors if it comes out in more. Unlike my other wool dresses from other companies - this one has shape and style. I feel pretty and confident wearing it. I got black - the pale green was too pale for me.

Meh

I wanted to love this dress but I don’t like how it looks on me. I tried a size small and medium but neither one was a good fit. The sleeves seem boxey and the waistline doesn’t fall in the right spot. I didn’t find either size flattering. I’m 5’6” and 150lbs.

Love it

I love the cut of the top of this dress. I love the warm clay color. It is slightly shorter than ideal for all situations but I throw a stretchy merino wool skirt over the top when I need modesty. Covers the bra. The top is flattering. With a long skirt added, I feel like a goddess. I am a muscular 5'8" gal with a b cup and about 150 lbs. I got the large. Skirt is a mini on me but I throw shorts on under it and then it's a playful hiking dress. I'd prefer knee length but with over-skirts in different lengths, this is versatile and chic! Thank you icebreaker for the interesting cut!

I plan to alter this into a skirt!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not so pleased with the design. Fabric is nice, thicker than other granary dresses. I plan to cut this dress up and make a skirt with pockets since no one sells 100% merino wool active skirts. I do not like the front seam nor the cap sleeves. The waist seam has some plastic like stuff sewn into it. It could be nicer if the crossover back was the front and the seam put in the back...and with no cap on the sleeves. Also the waist ripples up a bit.

Amazing dress!

I love this dress! I have both the black and green, I do like the black better because I feel like it can dress up a little more. The dress is soft, can be re-worn without washing, and I love the detail/fit of the back. I love that the dress has pockets, the pockets can pull the waist of the dress a little when my phone is in there. The material is just slightly sheer, but not enough to be a concern for me.
