Excellent Product

The bike is very comfortable and quiet with the Bosch motor and Gates carbon belt drive. It is a good fitness bike and the smart system with the flow app records many essentials you will find on a fitness app. It also syncs flawlessly with my Apple Watch which monitors my heart rate. The Bosch smart system also allows customization of the various assist settings. The 750 watt Bosch battery, pretty much eliminates range anxiety. The bike is also very rideable with the motor off and no noticable drag from the motor. I feel 40 years younger riding on the Cannondale Mavaro Neo one. PS: The belt drive is the way to go. No more chain lube, and cleaning.

A Major Disappointment

As a professional bike tour guide and mountain bike instructor, I purchased what the specs indicated was a top of the line model for my first ebike. Unfortunately, gear shifting is delayed for several pedal strokes, the twist shifter is sticky and erratic, and the LED headlight is obnoxiously bright. This model only comes in two sizes -- at 5'9" the large is too big and the small is too little. This is just my first day of riding; the bike is now going back to the shop; if the shifting is not remedied the bike is being returned.

This bike is woefully underpowered.

This bike is woefully underpowered. The manufacturer's website implies it has a 750-watt motor, but, in fact, it has a 250-watt motor, the smallest wattage in the industry. The lack of power is revealed when I go up hills at a snail's pace in the lowest gear. It offers pedal assist up to 28 mph, but good luck reaching that speed with a five-gear transmission (it should have seven). Also, the handlebars cannot be raised (or lowered) without extensive and aftermarket costs. These deficiencies mask the otherwise remarkable ride of the bike.

A decent car replacement

This is my first e-bike which I purchased for the intention of riding to work (15 miles, one-way). I bought the bike in July 2024, so at the time of this review I've owned it for almost one year. The bike is very comfortable, owing to the wide-ish tires, suspension fork, and suspension seat post. I wouldn't say that the bike is underpowered, but the five-speed hub was definitely an interesting choice on Cannondale's part. Not ideal in the hilly areas of Southern California, but leaving the bike in Turbo mode and switching between 4th and 5th gear, it has enough torque to make it up 70% of the steeper grades in my area at an enjoyable 20-25 mph. It can and will make it up some extremely steep grades in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd gear, albeit much slower. You can hit or exceed the advertised 28 mph, but typically on a downhill or with some effort in the flats. Upsides: Carbon belt drive is very low maintenance (bordering on no-maintenance). High torque motor will get you up to speed and leave cars behind when the light turns green. Comfortable riding position. Downsides: The bike is heavy and is not easily transported without a hitch-style bike rack. Without any electric assist (i.e. if the battery is dead) it is very heavy to pedal. The version I bought did not come with the Garmin rear-facing radar. Included front light is not very bright and not ideal/safe for use in the dark at the speeds the bike is capable of (you're going to need something way brighter--at least 750-1000 lumens).
