great waterproof option, perfect for traveling!
I bought this a little more than six months ago for a cruise vacation, and was not disappointed. While it was a little smaller than I'd like - I couldn't put my whole wallet inside - it was nevertheless incredibly useful. I took it in the ocean multiple times, snorkeling and swimming, and no water ever got inside. However, you do have to be extra careful to close the zipper all the way, as it is easy to stop short and leave a gap at the edge without noticing. If you put your phone in the front pocket you can technically use the touch screen through the clear window, but it's difficult in bright sunlight, so I generally did not bother with that. I will definitely be using this all summer long!
Keeps documents and cell phone dry
Very nice looking. The pack tends to float while in pool. Zipper slides smoothly. Pack kept my documents dry. My cell phone heated up, but probably due to hot/humid weather.

Compact pouch exterior with a thoughtful interior design giving the amount of inside storage significant! The zipped is easy to operate, it glides and positively secures when you use the lubricant wipes as directed. The waterproof function is unmatched when compared to competitors products. The strap and clips are robust also easy to adjust to desired fit and carry position. The touch screen feature works except facial recognition for me. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to move all their daily pocket items into a convenient waterproof easy to access well organized pouch.
Works as described; not uncomfortable to wear
I bought this to keep my phone and id safe while swimming in the ocean in Hawai`i. It worked as described, my stuff stayed perfectly dry. The waist belt was fine to wear; after a little while I didn't even notice I had it on.
Grand Canyon Buddy
I purchased this pack for a Nov trip down the Grand Canyon. We were in dry suits all day and it was perfect for storing a few things within easy reach - and it kept them dry! I kept my phone (so many photo ops), chapstick (so dry), Lara bar (or goodr sunnies) in it. Really just for a few items - if you have more things it would likely be better to get the larger size. Love that it’s got the clear front and a divider to keep items separate.
Handy and useful!
After having my phone in a ziplock bag inside a supposedly waterproof fanny pack while swimming/paddlebarding and the phone getting inundated with water after 25 min I quickly searched for another fanny pack option. I chose Nite Ize due to the perfect size and reviews. I’ve used it twice, all is good, it IS waterproof! Only downside is I wish the belt could be made to cinch a bit smaller. It sits a little low on my hips.
Best hip pack ever!
I just got my waterproof hip pack and already used it this morning paddle boarding on Biscayne Bay. I had a different one before and this one is so much better. I have several of the Niteize waterproof bags and know how water tight they are. I don’t worry about ruining my phone with water damage. I like the bright blue color- it reminds me of the Bahamas. And the clips make it easy to take on and off.
Invaluable for Snorkeling
Took this to Maui and used it many times while snorkeling. This is invaluable when needing to keep your valuables on you and not it your car or on the beach. I was hesitant using this at first because if it would have failed it would have been fairly catastrophic. I used it to carry three things while snorkeling car keys, phone and wallet. The hip pack worked flawlessly and kept everything dry while still allowing me to access my phone, which I did on the beach not the water. I kept the pack around my waist with the pack against my back. I am not a diver so I cannot speak to deeper conditions. I do know it added a slight amount of buoyancy which was nice for snorkeling but may not be welcome to folks who like to dive. I have one suggestion that would be useful and that is to have a different, bright color on the inside edge of the zipper so that a quick glance would tell you if it was opened or closed.
Thank you for the kind words! We are very happy to hear about how well the HipPack worked for you. All the Runoff products are tested waterproof to IP67 which means it is submersible in 1m of water for up to 30 minutes. So we wouldn't recommend going any deeper than you did on your trip to Maui.

A little bulkier than my wife would’ve liked but serves the need she requested of a Fannie pack that can also go cross body and can handle submersion. I would highly recommend.
Holds just what I need , keys wallet and cellphone
Perfect size for the wet outdoors. The zipper feels and appears to be very waterproof.,I like that I can wear it as a fanny pack or across my chest. Looks very well made.
