I love the helmet design here's some gotcha's though: - In "pulse" mode my red light is only getting 2.5hrs, test your light runtimes! - We're still using USB-A cables to power these things, not USB-C to C 😐 - The charging interface is kinda stupid, it STOPS pulsing when it's charged so you'll have no clue if you're plugged in all the way or your wall adapter died out etc, again kinda stupid - Fitting the lights in the helmet is about as satisfying as jamming something back into a plastic cellophane package - It's no GIRO MIPS as far as fit, it's like a 6/10 vs. an 9/10 I'd give a higher end GIRO
As someone who only rides a bike a few times a month on a NYC Citibike, this helmet definitely makes me ride way more often. I was never riding because I hate carrying a helmet around and don’t like riding without one. This helmet changes that. The folding make it very compact so it’s always in my backpack when I’m not using it. And looks good on my head too. One less thing to think about when I get a citibike. Big fan.
Wanted a helmet that I could easily keep in a bag for days I wanted to take one of the city bike shares and this helmet is perfect. Folds/unfolds easily. Fits easily in my day-bag. Lights are very bright for city biking. Had one minor issue with the back light but FEND was quickly responsive with fixing it. I've recommended this helmet to several of my friends.
I like the form factor and the easily swappable lights. I do not like that they advertise "up to 15 hours runtime" when, like a previous reviewer, I am getting only 3 hours from the red light even in blink mode. The lights also have no low battery indicator, so you have no idea when it's low on charge, which means I am basically plugging it in after every ride of more than an hour because I don't want to get caught running out of battery while riding on the street.
Have had the helmet for a little over a month and have enjoyed it. After playing around with the straps for a bit it feels secure. The lights on the front and back are bright and rechargeable and it does fold compactly into a single row. It’s expensive but if you want
I love that this helmet folds in on itself- I could even pack it for a trip. It fits well and snuggly. I like the built in lights. The only negative is that those lights fall out , a lot easier than I’d like.
Fits snugly, lights are bright and easy to fold. Will update with more use
It folds down small, so it’s nice when running errands or commuting. The rechargeable front and rear lights help provide added viability. It is a bit heavier than my “regular” bike helmets, but is still pretty comfortable.
It is really cool. It folds. The lights are bright.
I only use the bike share in my city so having to plan ahead to bring a helmet with me cut down on any impromptu rides I wanted to take. I was looking for a helmet that is easier to carry around and I found it. I was a little worried about the weight because it is a little heavier than my old Giro, but I barely notice the different when I have it on. It's comfortable and easy to adjust. And I love the lights. My size measurement was between the small and medium so I went with the small and it fits well.
